As far as I know we haven't got a topic to remember authors who have passed on. Yesterday the "Grand Old Lady" of Dutch Literature died and it affected me more than I thought, maybe since it is the second great author to die within a year and thought it would be nice to start this thread. Her name was Hella S. Haasse and she died at the age of 93. I did not read much of her work only one complete novel and some chapters of others in highschool, but I loved what I read and I loved the lady herself who I got to know a bit through her many television appearances. She did a lot for dutch language and literature and she will be missed.
