Sashana I might be going the community college route and, as a result, room with some of my friends. I love them but I know living with them will test out friendship. Good luck with living with your bf, Esme.

im hoping it'll work out since we have half-hearted plans to run off to vegas after i finish my pre-med in two years. very cliche, i know.
it must be fun to live with a bunch of girls though, ive only ever lived with guys and it sucks.

Sashana I feel your pain. I've lived with my brother and dad for 17 years and my stepmother has recently moved in with us. It's very weird to have another female around. I'm looking forward to moving out but at the same time it's a very scary feeling.

I wanted to move out of state but I'm not financially stable enough to be that far away from home. Plus, all of my family live in the same state so it would be very lonely.

thankfully my moms been there the whole time, but its still weird only having two females in the house amidst 7 guys.

Sashana Oh man, hats off to you Esme. Living with two is hard enough...I think I would self-combust with 7.

Sashana Pretty tamed compared to some of the habits you could have picked up. Guys can be really disgusting.

Tarah | 1 comments I haven't read all of the comments on this page yet, but I think that my roommate story qualifies as the worst roommate ever! My freshman year of college I lived in the dorms and was assigned a random roommate and she actually smelled, like she didn't shower very often and never washed her hands and then she would complain about how the room smelled like Lysol because I'm a bit of germ-a-phobe and didn't want to get sick because of her. But this roommate is not anywhere near as bad as the one I just got out of living with. I moved into an apartment designed for college students my sophomore year with a girl I meet in the dorms that I didn't know very well. They paired us up with two other roommates who seemed to be okay at first. One of the roommates was almost never there and moved out after a while so she was fine. The other one was okay at first and we actually seemed to get along pretty well. I had joined a sorority that year and one of my sisters and I became super close and she lived in the dorms and her and her roommate didn't get along so she slept on our couch for most of the semester and then ended up moving into the room that was vacated. Her, the other roommate, and I got along pretty well in the beginning but then at the beginning of this year, my junior year, they worked together and got into a huge fight about something that happened at work. They made up but then we all got into another fight around Christmas. We began to notice that the other roommate was rather psychotic, like she would go off on people for really little things. For example, her and her "boy toy" (no other way to describe him, they were dating on and off again and nobody could ever keep track) got into a huge three hour long screaming match because he forgot to buy milk at the store. Then, another time he was very nice and made her dinner and put it into the fridge for her when she got home but it accidentally feel out and when she found out she called him and yelled and screamed at him for at least an hour. Their fights were so loud that you could hear them outside with the door closed. They would commonly punch the walls, and she threw her cell phone at the wall so many times its a miracle that it survived. We would also occasionally hear him say things like "please, stop hitting me" through the door. I wish I was joking about this but this is a hundred percent serious. Then, two weeks ago, on Easter morning, me and my sister/roommate went out to a few bars and were out pretty late coming home. When we opened the door, there were our two other roommates waiting up for us on the couch as if they were our parents and we had broken curfew. A fight instantly ensued with them screaming at us about what were we thinking and how could we do something like this? My roommate/sister after, yelling back at them for a time, asked if the fight could be saved for later (after all, we were still a bit buzzed from drinking and dead ass tired). They refused and followed us into my room while we trying to get ready for bed, and just get away from them. At one point roommate A left but roommate B kept yelling at us, mostly my sister/roommate. The two began to yell at each other until the roommate B began to call my sister/roommate a person who talks behind others backs. She retorted that everyone in the apartment talked about the others behind their backs, which is true I know because I've heard everyone's complaints (except those against me naturally) and have said my fair share of complaints against the others. But honestly, when you cram 4 girls into one small apartment, all having different lives, schedules, characteristics, etc., some of that is bound to happen. Anyway, it was then that my sister began to tell roommate B all of the bad things roommate A said about her when she wasn't around and this is where all hell breaks loose. Roommate A could then be heard screaming, "Bitch!" from across the apartment before rampaging into my room and literally jumping on my sister/roommate. She then began to punch her in the face repeatedly until roommate B pulled her off! They then stalked off to their side of the apartment and left us alone for the most part (roommate A came back at one point trying to apologize but with the black eye and profusely bleeding cut on my sister/roommate's face, we really weren't in the mood to hear it). We left the following morning and just avoided going home until my sister/roommate's parents drove into town to help. The next day, because where I live the police department closes on weekends (shocking right?) we filed a police report and got restraining orders. We've been couch hopping ever since so thanks to this roommate, I've been unable to return home, sleep in my own bed, have access to my entire wardrobe instead of the few shirts and shoes I grabbed in haste before leaving, cook meals, or have any semblance of a normal college life. And, to add to this miserable fortune, finals are a few weeks away and studying isn't easy when you're scrambling to find a place to stay that night. Thank God I'm going back to my hometown for the summer!
