Adriana (:

I've only read some of Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, and Naruto. Runaways was good too for awhile.

I'm actually pretty up to date on Naruto.
Do you have any suggestions?

message 52: by Adriana (new)

Adriana gtg. I'll respond tomorrow. See ya guys!

message 53: by Adriana (new)

Adriana What's Jason Bourne?
I heard of Eden of the West too but I don't know..
Never heard of Clannad. I'll check it out.

Ana Sofía hi

message 56: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Hey!

message 57: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Wait. That Bourne? As in the Bourne Supremacy?

Hi!

message 58: by Adriana (new)

Adriana @Viv what's your favorite book?

message 59: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I didn't realize it was a manga. Weird.

Viv (a_pocky_box) Adriana wrote: "@Viv what's your favorite book?"

Oh hard to say. I have many books that I like for different genres. But if you're asking my all time favorite it would be
Howl's Moving Castle (Castle, #1) by Diana Wynne Jones .

I always try to read the book at least once every year. :)

message 61: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Really!? That's so weird. In a good way. (:
I guess you can say my pick is kind of weird too. A lot of people I think just pick classics. I assume too much.

Have you read the other two in the trilogy?

message 62: by Viv (last edited Nov 09, 2011 11:33AM) (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) Haha I love this book. I have read Castle in the Air (Castle, #2) by Diana Wynne Jones .

I haven't gotten around to reading the third book, House of Many Ways (Castle, #3) by Diana Wynne Jones .

So far, I like Howl's Moving Castle the best. I do like the fact that the characters appear in the other books as well.

message 63: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I have the second book but haven't read it. Is it good?

I didn't even know there was a third book until one day I was browsing online on Barnes and Noble. I was like What!

Do they all have Howl because the second book looks like it's completely different then the first?

message 64: by Viv (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) The second book and the third book is totally different. They have different story lines but it is from the same world as Howl's. There are cameo's of Howl and Sophie in the other books.

message 65: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Aww... They should be the main subject...

Have you seen the movie?

message 66: by Viv (last edited Nov 11, 2011 08:58PM) (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) Yes, I have seen the movie. That too is a masterpiece in its own. :D

message 67: by Adriana (new)

Adriana !
I love Miyazaki!

message 68: by Viv (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) I've watched every single movie by him so far, all except for Ponyo. It is based on the Little Mermaid! I'm going to try to watch it this Christmas Break.

message 69: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I didn't know that. It's pretty good but it should be... I don't know... longer?

message 70: by Viv (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) Haha I always feel that way about a good book. Some times I would too with a good movie. But Howl's Movie Castle was just right on both book and movie.

message 71: by Adriana (new)

Adriana It's supposed to magical. (:

message 74: by Viv (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) HI SARAH! haha what girl doesn't like shopping :)
Manga's huh? I've read the occasional mangas here and there. My favorite right now is Love So Life . It is super adorable. Other than mangas what else do you like to read?

message 75: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Well, I've not read that much manga - I prefer to draw them. I like Harry potter :D and romance, contemporary and some fantasy ... Wby? :)

message 76: by Sarah (new)

Sarah My favourite books rite now are Joss Stirling's Finding Sky and Stealing Phoenix.

message 77: by Viv (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) Same here, I also like to read contemporary romance, fantasy, mystery, scifi, young adult, fairy tales, and historical fiction. Whew that felt like a laundry list. But I am always up to reading something new.

message 78: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Ha ha :) I read the occasional historical fiction, but I have found some boring. I read more of them in the past.

message 79: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Contemporary literature means books made now?

message 80: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Well, yeah, books about now :)

message 81: by Viv (new)

Viv (a_pocky_box) Contemporary literature also can be books that the modern societies of today can relate to and that they are set in today's world.

message 82: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Oh. I never have heard the term until goodreads. Well I have but not referring to literature.

Jared Levy | 24 comments Adriana wrote: "Sounds like me! :D

oops by action I meant books with action in it, not particularly the genre action. I also read mangas such as naruto, DBZ, rave master, etc.

message 92: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I guess I was thinking adventure but I know what you mean.

Naruto! Do you keep up with it online?

message 93: by Jared (new)

Jared Levy | 24 comments Usually but I stopped for a while. I left off at the part in Shippuden when he and killer bee were about to take on tsunade and the raikage.

message 94: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I'm only a little ahead of you. I haven't read much for awhile.

message 95: by Jared (new)

Jared Levy | 24 comments Yeah I should get back on track with that soon

message 96: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Have you read or seen Fooly Cooly (FLCL)?

message 97: by Jared (new)

Jared Levy | 24 comments No is that a manga?

message 98: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Yes and it's an anime. It. Is. Fantastic! You have to watch it. It's hard to get the manga I'm told so just watch the anime. It used to be on Adult Swim I think. It's short but great.

message 99: by Jared (new)

Jared Levy | 24 comments What it about?

message 100: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Aliens and Robots!

This boy gets attacked by this girl. She just keeps hitting him on the head. Later this horn thing comes out. It sounds really weird but it's awesome. Arg! I don't know how to explain it just is awesome! Youtube!
