Thadeus | 12 comments I'm developing a new thirst for an understanding of theology. Peter Kreeft has written quite a bit from the Catholic understanding. Does anyone have a recommendation for which of his books to read first?

Steve Thadeus,

I haven't read any of his books, but I have read some essays and listened to some talks that are linked on his website. Here is a list of his books from his website. The descriptions may help you decide:

booklady | 1 comments Wow that's asking a good question! I have only read some of his books but I can highly recommend "The Journey" as a very good starting book! It is a very good intro to Philosophy, Christian Theology and a jumping off point for some of his other books as well.

blessings, booklady

Karen L. Hi I am a new member. I am an Anglican, but definitely appreciate the Catholic writers, both from long ago and recent...especially Peter Kreeft. He seems to be able to help the common man understand theology and philosophy.

God Bless,
Karen

Linda I am currently working on my masters in theology through the University of Dallas, School of Ministry. Two of the books we used were:

Introducing Contemporary Theologies: THe What and the Who of Theology Today by Neil Ormerod
and
Foundations of Theological Study: A Sourcebook edited by Richard Viladesau and Mark Massa

Both were good resources.
Linda
