What If the Hokey Pokey Really Is What It’s All About?

"Dear Diary: I am still a virgin, which is not so unusual if you've never had a boyfriend."
Do happy people write in diaries? Not according to Piccolo Poggioli, whose hilarious diary describes the horror of a road trip with her mother Judy, a down-market diva with no manners, no money, and no clue. When the money runs out, Piccolo (aided by her hero Jean Valjean)figures out a way for them to return home.

Erin lived an ordinary life. She had good friends, family, and even a boyfriend. Life seemed pretty normal, until her sixteenth birthday. Overcome with a strange illness that left her panicked and doing strange things, like enjoying the taste of her boyfriend’s blood, Erin left. She left everything in her life behind, afraid of hurting anyone she loved, and started a new life.
Years passed, Erin living with her terrible burden, which at times could prove to be a gift. Even she couldn’t believe what had happened to her years ago. One day, after getting a strange feeling to go out, Erin decided to follow her gut. Forgetting to shield herself from the humans around, she was found. Found by someone like her. That is when her secluded, secret life ended.
Reunited with those of her past and new Immortal friends, Erin begins learning about her new world. There is something everyone is determined to keep from her, and Erin is determined to find out what that is. If things couldn’t get any worse, she learns that her first love had been cursed as well, but he was set out to destroy her kind. As she works to gain his trust, Erin learns of other threats in her new world, each more dangerous than the last.
When a trip to find the key to reversing their curse is arranged, nothing can stop Erin from sitting back as told, as her newfound friends and family take a journey that could cost them their lives. Secrets and Keys is the first novel in the Desire series, and will leave you wanting more!

Though Copernicus is novel length I am a man of few words. I had to weave in a number of subplots so that the action would fill in the lack of set description I employ. Whenever I read I want to scream at the author to quit describing the setting and get on with the narrative. In order to get into suspense building I say to myself "Make them suffer, make them suffer." It reminds me how much I suffer waiting for the author to bring a scene to it's conclusion.
I hope readers of my book will suffer a bit, but enjoy getting to the conclusion of many exciting scenes.

I hope everyone is having a lovely start of the holiday season! I have 2 Young Adult books (I'll share the other one when it is available again). I have one that is a little bit of a historical fiction and realistic fiction. It is called Family Ties, I'm also sharing about it because on December 20th, my publisher is dicounting it!

Abby's family prides itself with its knowledge of their rich family history. While trying to survive her summer job armed only with her sarcastic wit and her best friend Cory, she learns to watch what she wishes for. When she is kidnapped, her entire family is left wondering...
Do they know their family history as well as they think?
the link for the site it'll be discounted on: http://www.buckscountypublishing.com/portal/

I love the title!

Demon's Daughter

Here's the blurb:
‘I turned onto my side and propped myself up on an elbow. “You’re seriously telling me that our Dad is a demon?” She nodded. “From Hell?” Another nod. “Fire-and-brimstone Hell?”
“I don’t know. I...never went there with him.”
I opened my mouth and closed it a few times. Laughter threatened again but I forced it away by looking at my mum’s grim face. This was incomprehensible.’
Emily Carson is an average sixteen year-old nerd living in a small town with no real ambitions beyond acing her exams, dealing with her brother Seth’s questionable taste in girls and curing school hottie Adam Farlow’s questionable eye-sight (the only explanation for his lack of interest).
And then her Dad shows up.
Discovering that your dad is a demon certainly makes life much more interesting, but even Demon Lords have enemies and Emily and Seth soon find themselves the new targets for every vampire, demon, Were and angel in town.
Having fallen angel Sariel as a body guard should help but discovering that they share a special gift brings Emily and her tempting angel more life-threatening problems than a maths loving teenager should ever have to deal with.'
Best wishes :-D

(This book is classified Young-2-Adult, and is written for adventurous readers ages nine to ninety.)
Gibbering Gnome Press Presents a Tale of Epic Fantasy
For Lily and Jasper Winter, the Moon Realm began with a single secret bedtime tale. As the children grew older, Uncle Ebb enthralled them with thrilling tales of the Dragondain riding horse-sized, catlike Rinn; mysterious tales of peerin-wielding lunamancers manipulating the magic that lies just beneath the surface of reality; exciting tales of flying dragons, swimming merfolk, stomping giants, and troublesome faeries. But as the magic of their childhood faded, so too did the tales. Eventually, they were just . . . good stories.
Or were they?
Now, nine years after it all began, Uncle Ebb is missing.
Lily and Jasper search for clues, but their uncle's mansion is full of distractions. A Tesla generator thrums in the basement. Prismatic electrimals flit around walls resembling underwater reefs. Then a most unexpected friend comes to their aid, leading them to a hidden room where they find a mysterious coin—the moon coin. Before the night is out, Lily is transported to the real Moon Realm. But the moons are in trouble. The Rinn of Barreth are under siege, and the lunamancers of Dain are beset by the very dragons they once loved. Most horrifying of all, the moon Darwyth has fallen to a villain named Wrengfoul, whose creeping evil now threatens to overshadow all the Realm.
Are Lily and Jasper too late to save the Moon Realm, or will they have enough time to write an ending of their own?
Featuring twenty-two stunning full-color illustrations by Carolyn Arcabascio. Volume One of the young adult fantasy adventure series The Moon Realm.
On sale during January for 99⍧ at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and the iBookstore.

It is available for only a 99 cent download at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords. The reviews of the book have been really great so far, and a few professional children's therapists have even started using the book with their grieving patients!

Hello everyone,
My name is Derek Edgington, seventeen-year-old author of The Seven. It's a Contemporary/Urban Fantasy with a dash of humor to assuage the whole "doom and gloom" attached to the oh-so-common world ending theme.
Product Description
Caleb Holden is a facetious, caustic seventeen-year-old boy who doesn't have enough sense to stay down for the count. His story is not of a poster boy for success, but rather of a troubled teen who was forced to grow up fast, lest he fall into oblivion and obscurity. When the amulet he wears around his neck begins to talk, as well as give him lip, his life is thrown for a loop. This sets in motion a series of events that will eventually lead him to his destiny, or a gruesome death. Given the power to alter the darkness that plagues the world, he jumps at the opportunity with little hesitation. As with all his pursuits, Caleb doesn't give up or in until he sees a challenge through to its conclusion.
The Seven is a full-length Young Adult fantasy, approximately 140,000 words - about 500 pages. Due to the prevalence of obscene language, The Seven is recommended for readers 16 years and older.

Pandora's Key, my self-published YA urban fantasy novel,

Here's a bit about the story...
On her sixteenth birthday Evangeline is given a necklace with a key charm. Everything changes. Her looks morph from geeky to stunning. Her mom is hospitalized. Her godmother attempts murder. An ancient Order tries to kill her, and a lethal Sect to kidnap her. Evangeline must use the key to unlock an unbelievable mystery. But can she accept who she really is and save the world?
Here's what KIRKUS reviews had to say:
"With this fresh, intriguing novel, Fischer is clearly laying the groundwork for a trilogy that will successfully continue to bring ancient mythology forward into a modern tale of self discovery... Fischer's fast pacing and numerous plot twists are sure to keep the reader turning the pages... Characters are well fleshed-out and sympathetic, and some have hidden alliances that serve to make Evangeline's plight seem all the more realistic. With vivid imagery, compelling characters and plenty of bursts of action, this first novel weaving mythology and contemporary teenage troubles is thrillingly memorable!"
Thanks for checking out Pandora's Key!
Best,
Nan

If it can kill you-- how can it be love?
When Evie Parker meets Lucas Spencer she begins to feel hope again. Lately she's been going through life in a fog and Lucas is all about teaching her how to have fun again. For the first time since the accident she knows what it means to be happy.
So who cares if Lucas is a little odd. It isn't that strange that she's never met his parents, or that teachers never seem to notice when he's late for class. Evie tries not to care, but on top of all his peculiar behavior she's been feeling kind of sick lately-- ever since she met Lucas actually.
When Lucas decides it is time to come clean with all his secrets Evie has to make some hard decisions.

All Evie wants is a little bit of normal in her life-- is that really too much to ask?
Lucas isn't normal, but he makes her happy. That should count for something. Evie thinks she can find a balance that will let her be normal and also be with him.
Of course she hadn't counted on adding his family into the mix, or his ex-girlfriend.
Life with an elf is never boring.

Good luck!

Hi everyone,
Book one of my new series, The Vindico, will be released in all North American retailers on June 14, 2012, and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon, barnesandnoble.com, and the Penguin website.
The Vindico was also recently selected by the Junior Library Guild as one of their 2012 picks. I'll be hosting a Q&A and discussion board starting on the 21st of this month, and I'd love to hear from you!
The synopsis is below:
Led by the sinister Baron, the Vindico are a group of super villains who have been fighting against the League of Heroes for as long as they can remember. The Vindico kidnap a group of teenagers and train them to be the next generation. Mysteriously arriving at the Baron’s mansion together, James, Lana, Hayden, Emily and Sam are forced to train with their mentors and given powers beyond their wildest dreams.
While struggling to uncover the motives of this evil group, the teens learn to trust each other and even form friendships. They plan to rebel against their mentors as soon as they are deemed ready to fight against the League of Heroes, but then they learn things may not be as cut-and-dry as they seem: both in their new roles and in their outside lives.
Thanks!

Zed is not your typical zombie. He is cursed with the affliction of thought ... although he tries to make the best of a bad situation. The goals for his unrest are simple: to improve his stride, to taste a lightly-seared pork loin once again and avoid Activists at all costs.
It is a little genre-eschewing as it's satirical, post-apocalyptic and philosophical at times. If I had to categorise it, it would be post-apocalyptic, but not like your fathers' books!

My current novel, Of Good And Evil, a suspense thriller of nobilty versus tyranny, with international locales, is presently being explored for the screen.
Ron Sheffield, a tormented Green Beret, is discharged from the army for going crazy. Hospitalized near death from a brutal Mafia beating and being shot by them, his life is miraculously saved in dramatic fashion by an unbelievable woman, Amber Ash, with whom he falls in love. From there the two are propelled into harrowing ventures; among them life and death battles with the Mafia, terrorists, and a government cell out to kill them. This brings the two into contact with a mysterious and powerful secret society offering to help Ron And Amber to stay alive, but an offer, with good reason, that they resist. Nevertheless, the society manages to enhance their abilities to survive, and in the end Ron is confronted with the nuclear obliteration of a major American city --- including Amber and the secret society --- by a covert, suicidal terrorist cell which only Ron can stop but finds it impossible to do so. A cliff-hanging ending, the story proclaimed by one reviwer as separating average writers from great writers.
Of Good And Evil can be purchased online at Amazon (both Kindle and paperback), Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and other sites, including the publisher.

"Crossing the River" is about the many historical figures that bring to life General Thomas Gage’s failed attempt April 19, 1775, to seize and destroy military stores stockpiled at Concord by Massachusetts’s Provincial Congress. Characters of high and ordinary station, choosing to or forced to participate, must confront their worst fears. Revealing the internal conflicts, hubris, stupidity, viciousness, valor, resiliency, and empathy of many of the day’s participants, the novel is both a study of man experiencing intense conflict and the varied outcomes of high-risk decision-taking.
The book's title is a metaphor for such decision-taking, be it Massachusetts militiamen seeking greater independence from Great Britain, General Gage’s attempted seizure of the provincial arsenal, two junior British officers’ risk-taking to earn quick promotion, an Acton schoolmaster’s compulsion to avenge the death of his dear friend and neighbor, a Lincoln youth’s attempted atonement for cowardice, a Lexington resident’s impulse to assist a redcoat deserter while he tries to resolve his neighbors’ and family’s low regard of him, or a British soldier/spy’s desire to rise above his station.
"Crossing the River" can be purchased online at the publisher's website at http://booklocker.com/books/5692.html
and at Amazon (including Kindle) and Barnes & Noble (including Nock).
