Chrissie Don, you make a list of 52 countries/books that you want to read next year. Some people have several alternatives under a given country. Many do this since they are unsure of what they will feel like reading just at that moment next year.

You link to a book by clicking on the "add book/author" text at the top of the comment box. There you type in the title and then when you see the book you want you click on add. The added book will always appear at the bottom of the comment box, so you have to cut and paste it in where you want it on your list.

I hope that helps you. You do not have to make your list all at once. You can get ideas from other peoples lists, the master list , recommended books and of course your own TBR shelf. Or maybe you have a pile of books sitting at home waiting to be read. ....... And how you define countries is also very flexilbel Really, you decide how you want to make your own list. Isn't it nice not to have a bunch of strict rules?!

Anne (reachannereach) Judy,

I don't think anyone caught on to the "story" in message 15. I think they thought you went on a shopping spree (at best).

Actually, that is quite creative.

Anne (reachannereach) You wrote the story, my dear.

Of course, this is all jotted down while the Sunrise Over Fallujah peeks over the horizon enhancing The Power and the Glory of Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind and The Passion of Artemisia...."

That's wonderful, Judy!

Anne (reachannereach) No, But Asmah and I both think you are very clever.

Anne (reachannereach) You are at the apex. We could start a story with one book title and then see who comes up with the next part of the story using a books title.

Anne (reachannereach) Our Judy is becoming a celebrity.

Yes. Start a separate threat. One group I belong to plays scrabble. Others play other games. I think we need our 52 group game. And you are the obvious person to launch it.

Mikki Hi Don!

You've got a great list going and I love that you're including YA reads. [Book: I Capture The Castle] was and is a longtime favorite -- Cassandra has one of the best 'voices' that I can remember ever coming across. It's hard to write credible teen voices but Dodie Smith had it mastered. Now, I'm thinking that I need to read it again.

And [Book: The Idiot] is one that I keep threatening to read...one day.

So...this is where the game began! Clever! :D

Sue An occasional good children's/young adult's book can be a very good thing after reading some of the large tomes on some of our lists. You have some interesting titles. I think we all will have some difficult decisions to make when the reading begins.
