Greg Hamerton (greghamerton) Second Sight is an expansive epic fantasy of sorcery, rage and redemption set in Oldenworld. Although it continues The Tale of the Lifesong from the first book in the series, it can be read on its own. It's a big adventure of 250,000 words (630 pages in print).

Darker, more intense and more layered than The Riddler's Gift, it has an uplifting theme at its heart: the beauty of life and the price worth paying to protect it. Tabitha journeys from her sheltered crucible to face down the man who could end everything. But there her troubles really begin: how do you convince a man who has lost all hope to save the world from ruin?

If you like action-driven fantasy with a philosophical undertone then this is for you! The style has been compared to David Gemmell, Robert Jordan and Robin Hobb; the story tackles the consequences of using power and magic head-on.

It currently averages 4/5 (19 ratings) on Goodreads. Some reviewers think it's good:

5* “Second Sight flows beautifully page after page … ” FantasyBookCritic

5* “An epic tale of justice, forgiveness, beauty and temptation.” Fantasy Book Review

5* “… this is high fantasy at its very best. Quite simply breath-taking …” SFbook

but what do you think? You could try out the free sample on the Kindle page, but if you're excited by the first few pages, don't spoil the story for yourself, get The Riddler's Gift first (currently only $0.99 on Kindle).

Second Sight is available on Kindle for $3.99.
