what did you think of the adaptation of this book to movie? Pros & Cons? Could it have been better? Did you like the cast? Did the movie faithfully follow the story as a whole?

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Well the book is awesome it made me wept and it's a very meaningful one. and it is recommended to everyone as it gives good lesson to teenagers who were rebels to their parents.

In the movie, Marcus' side wasn't that express unlike in the book but it is okay because he's not the main character in the story.
in the movie Ronnie's father died in the chair.. in the book well it took weeks before he dies and he died on the bed. not right after Ronnie finished the song.

so far the movie did follow the book though there are changes.

What! I didn't get to read the book but the movie was soo freaking good! I thought miley cirus did a unbelievably good job for playing such a serious character since we always see her as this goofy teenager in Hannah Montana *love that show by the way! The whole movie fell together great the characters had great chemistry everything was on point. Me and my cousin were crying throughout the end of this movie it touched me for some reason... I give the movie five stars! Lol

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Try reading the book. but the movie did a great job on the song. in the book, Ronnie was kind of Blaze-type.

Janina (synchronizedreading) | 183 comments I loved the book and the movie. I thought it did a great job following the storyline. They left out the part in the movie when blaze got set on fire in the book. But i guess that was too graphic to put in the movie. I cried when i read the book. You could here people sniffling in the movie theater when i went to see it.

Tiffany (tiff0505) | 52 comments Miley is so underrated as an actor but she's really good, Liam was a mess but at least he provided the eye candy, I hope he can do a better job in Hunger Games but only time will tell.

Yes, because I will seriously hurt Liam if he doesn't ! *lol joking* but I would be simply pissed if he messes up Gale I think that's how you spell his name...

Elena (summerday) | 7 comments Okay, so.

I start saying that I love Miley Cyrus, and don't judge.

No, that's not totally the truth. I used to love her, but lately I've kind of lost interest on her.
Still, when the movie was out I was totally freaking out and was eager to see it.
Now, despite my obsession for her, I had to say that her acting wasn't that good. Maybe it was years of Hannah Montana showing off, but what with the facial expressions and attitudes, I just didn't feel her right into the character.

This I had to say about the movie.

But talking about the book, it was beautiful.
I think that after a while, Nicholas Spark's works all tend to be quite the same, good and depressing at the same time.
Fortunately, I had only read little from him at the time I read the book, so I was able to enjoy The Last Song without being too much influnced by his other novels.

It was a nice and pleasant read. Not quite your favorite book, but not bad, either.

Yes I read the book dear John and saw the movie but didn't read the last song but saw the movie and also came to the conclusion that most of his books sound the same.... With Dear John I had to make myself finish the book because it dragged so much but I enjoyed the movie a lot. So I agree with you Elena.
