Does Hyde's physical appearance change the outlook on Dr. Jekyll's reputation?Dr. Jekyll and Mr. HydeRobert Louis Stevenson

I think to some extent Hyde's lower class appearance had something to do with Jekyll's reputation when he first appeared. Because many were like why is he associating with this lower class imp. But then they considered Hyde a charity case after a while so they let it pass. But then Hyde started acting up and his behavior started reflecting on Jekyll. So yea once the behavior changed coupled with Hyde's appearance and the people's ideas about him it totally changed their outlook on Jekyll. Especially as Hyde was doing all sorts of things that they never thought Jekyll would agree to, but he said that he let him.

I believe Hyde's appearance greatly changed Jekyll's reputation to some people. Since they said it was wrong of him talking to an "imp". I think since people considered Hyde to look lower class they thought of Dr. Jekyll as a lower class peron too for associating with him.
