Great African Reads discussion

Hey everybody,

I've created a poll for voting on the November reading - I figured that we wouldn't have to count votes then, but let the system tell us which book got the most votes. :)

The poll closes by midnight Oct 29 (Wed), so I'll *announce* the *winner* on Thursday, so that everybody can start organising their copy. :)

If you want to suggest another book, please feel free but let me know asap so I can add it to the poll.

If you've got any other thoughts or ideas about the book club, do let me (or Marieke) know because neither of us has ever done this, and we're just running with it as we go...

I would like to cast my vote for "Algerian Childhood" -- but all the books sound great and I know I will enjoy reading whichever one is chosen. Thanks to you and Marieke for getting the ball rolling. I didn't particiapte in the PWB discussion since I read that a few years ago so was a bit rusty, but I did enjoy reading everyone's comments and observations about it. I can't wait to have some good discussions about Algeria as well :-)
