Lynna, were they ever sold with the old covers, or were they changed before going on sale?

We don't change valid covers. You would add the new versions as alternate editions. As for which cover dominates, that is based purely on popularity.

If you just try to add another image when the book already does have a cover image, it will not add it as a cover but just as "more images" to browse. Seems you've figured this out but just letting you know in case. :) I would do this for you but don't know the protocol for existing covers, I only add covers when the edition doesn't have one.

If they were sold with the covers currently on GR, we don't change them. As mlady_rebecca said, we add alternate-cover editions instead.

No, it's the most popular/shelved editions that are shown. Once the new ones have been shelved the most they will change to be showned
