Nicole Sanglay (speckintheuniverse) I just finished Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth and I am Number Four (Lorien Legacies, #1) by Pittacus Lore this week. I loved them both. They were so amazing. And more than a week ago, I finally finished the Vampire Academy series because I read Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead and it took my breath away. <3

message 71: by Ellysa (last edited Jan 05, 2012 09:58AM) (new)

Ellysa Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer Seriously....read it. This book is such a different take on Cinderella and fantasy- but entirely possible in some ways. Don't let the word Cinderella fool you, it's really just that this chick is treated unfairly and works for nothing. She is a cyborg, there is a handsome prince, a plague, a race that lives on the moon, and an "evil queen". It's so addicting I swear!

I just finished Cinder yesterday, and I agree. It was awesome! I love the SF elements, and anyway, I'm a sucker for a good fairy tale adaptation. I'm excited for the next book in the series.

Rebecca Espinoza | 9 comments Destiny Binds and Time Mends by Tammy Blackwell are my last really awesome reads and they are both a steal at Amazon! Can't wait to read the final book of the series this fall!

Me too! This is why I hate reading books right when they come out- a year wait for the next one.

message 76: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen (locustmom) More fantasy/dystopian but just finished Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. Brilliant book. And Angellfall by Susan Ee is a really different kind of angel story. You will not be disappointed in these!

message 77: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Espinoza | 9 comments I loved Angellfall!! Can't wait for the next book!

message 78: by Lisa M (new)

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments Justice (New Species, #4) by Laurann Dohner I hesitated to list this one, because it's romantica and it's got an uber-alpha male hero, which some people might not like. But there were some gut-wrenching scenes that I just can't get out of my head even a couple of books later. IMO, that's a good book.

Megan (thebookhunter) | 54 comments I just read a few recently I really enjoyed. Virgin River (Virgin River, #1) by Robyn Carr I am in love with this series. It's contemp romance but the more books you read in the series the more info you get on all the characters. (ie every book has chapters devoted to ppl from past and future books so you feel like you are watching a tv show, not just reading a book).

Also in the HR genre I read Wicked Intentions (Maiden Lane, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt . It was great! A different look into a historical since it doesn't spend the whole book looking at the upper crust of London.

I havent' read much PR lately... hmm gonna have to get on that soon, lol. I did listen to the audiobook of First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones and I laughed out loud. It was so much better tahn I thought it would be.

I keep hearing good things about this book but I have read some bad reviews too. With the price of it, I am kind of scared to buy it. Does it have much romance? I even went to the library to get it but they don't have it yet.

I loved
First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones but Second Grave on the Left (Charley Davidson, #2) by Darynda Jones was seriously lacking IMHO. Not nearly as witty as the first one was.

Jen (jendevenecia) I choose Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare.
Crushed and broke my heart.
Can't even count how many times I cried!
I read it for about a week because of my damn work but the whole time I was awake, I couldn't stop thinking of this book, even after I have finished reading it.
Probably the best book Ms. Clare has written so far.

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare
❤❤❤ Oh my lovely Jem! ❤❤❤

PASSION was a surprise 5 stars from me too.

Love this thread, got a few more books on my TBR...as if I needed to add any more to the list.

Thanks.
