I have absolutely fallen in love with Amanda Hocking's Trylle trilogy. I couldn't put them down! I read a book a day and finished them in 3 days! I just wish there were more!

I would put in this category. It was an unexpected joy too which also makes it special. I picked it up as a Kindle special deal. So good that I have to read the other books in the series. Now that's what an author's introductory special is supposed to do. It's kind of a loss leader, but this reader at least, is now one loyal fan. Look at me, spreading the word! :)

These two books are AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Even though I read the books a few months ago, I can never get over it. All of a sudden while I'm doing homework or something, the series comes to mind and I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. Which is all the way in September. D:

I just read White Hot Kiss recently, and OMG I think I'm in love with Roth :D I just love how he is and his demon ways with his excuses for everything. So funny!

I also like his snake ;P

Before this book, I always thought of From Fame to Shame as my favorite. Dallas is soooo attractive. I would totally marry him! I'm jealous of Maddie. Shoot! I'm even jealous of Jackie for being close to him first. One of these days I'll have a Dallas... or a Roth ^~^

Bloodlines

Just been introduced to the Black Dagger Brotherhood and absolutely loved reading the first installment

The last good book I read wasn't paranormal but worth checking out. It was The Atlantis Plague, the sequal to The Atlantis Gene (science fiction / thriller) from a fairly new author, A.G. Riddle. I found it through a goodreads recommendation and found both books completely enjoyable.

just finished Night Broken, Patrica Briggs, extremely good, though not crazy about the ending.

Laura's Wolf was pretty good.

I just recently finished Thrown To The Wolves and that would have to be the last really great book I read.

Crown of Crystal Flame by C. L. Wilson. A fantastic end the this glorious series.

I actually really enjoyed Night Broken by Patricia Briggs. = I think it was because she really NAILED the passive/aggressive personality and the way people like that manipulate their family members. Excellent job. (Sorry, I just realized this is the PNR thread! Mercy Thompson is UF. But I've always thought that most UF is just PNR spread over more than one book, IMHO!)

Just finished Once Burned and Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost. Sorry that I have run through everything she has written. I am scraping the bottom of my particular barrel! Waiting for Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole to come out in audiobook. That series is just not the same in print (and I am in love with Robert Petkoff).

Tessa Dawn and Amelia Hutchins, they blow me away and Rebecca Zanetti, some of the best writing. Also, A.G. Howard's Splintered and Unhinged and Laini Taylor's, Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. These are all five star reads!!

It's been very rare to come across a book that left me thinking long after I read it. Most books I read more than anything pass the time or are at the most are entertaining. I suffer from severe insomnia and reading keeps my mind occupied without letting me get too into "my head". Honestly, there have been at most 20-25books over my 45 yrs that really drew me in and made an impact on the way I think. The last book that made me think about anything other than my own existence is " . It gave such a unique portrayal of WWII that I was in awe. This is not even typically a book I would even consider but I am so very glad I read it. (3 book series.......1st two books are great but the last one seemed a little redundant.

The only book I've read twice this year

this year - Heart of Obsidian I just love the complexity of the world that Nalini Singh has created. The hero is flawed and complex. The love story is beautiful. Its book 12 of a series - but i think can stand alone or as an intro...
Twice Tempted and Once Burned - love Leila and Vlad...awesome writing, great plots....love it!

I was pleasantly surprised to really enjoy Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep. It was well-written and a little different, with a strong but relatable main character.

Richelle Mead's Age of X series is good too, and I just finished The Immortal Crown. Looking forward to the third book!
