I've set up a Google+ page for my e-book Gem of the Galaxy. Is anyone else on Google+ ?

Gem of the Galaxy is e-book only, and contains two separate SF novels. But the combination edition will disappear in 2012 and the books will have to be bought separately. Gem of the Galaxy at $3.49 (until Dec. 31) or Child of the Mist and Daughter of the Stone each at $2.99. The individual titles also available in print.

Get it the combo deal while you can!

I'd like to know any Google+ stories and/or tips, too.

Thanks.

Sabine Reed (sabineareed) | 18 comments Hi. I have added you in my google plus circle. I am still struggling with google plus...it's not as easy as facebook...or perhaps I am just new at it. Best of luck with your books. Sounds interesting!

Rachel Cotterill (rachelcotterill) I've got a new G+ page at https://plus.google.com/1030014789582... but I really haven't figured out how to use it yet! It doesn't help that my phone is an "unsupported browser" so I can't really use it as social-media-on-the-go the way I do twitter & facebook.

Sabine Reed (sabineareed) | 18 comments Yeah, google plus is not as easy. I will add you in my circle...at least I will try to. It is glitchy to stay the least...

@ Rachel,
I added you to my circles. Maybe we can get this all sorted and have a good G+ experience. :)

I'm the opposite. I don't get Facebook at all - find the interface completely unintuitive and quite confusing. But Google+ I find really easy to work with, and almost everyone I know is on Google+ too (I only know 3 people on Facebook!).

The art of using Google+ for promotion seems to be to search for relevant circles and add them to your own. It will make your stream very busy, but it lets the people in those circles know you exist and a portion of them will add you to their circles. Providing your own posts are interesting/entertaining and relevant, you can rapidly build a following there.
The important thing is that by choosing strictly relevant circles and letting people circle you of their own choice, you can end up with an interested and voluntary following to announce news/launches/freebies to.

Just don't add too many circles per day.
