Cool!! As I said I haven't had a buddy so when the time comes we'll get in contact, sounds good?

If you've never checked out Patrick Rothfuss' blog, you should. He is hysterical.

He came to Spain last weekend I think and I was Reading stuff because I couldn't go, I read he has a blog, I guess I have to check it out now!

Rothfuss also had a really dark (not really for kids) picture book. I have a signed copy!
He has such a unique way with words, IMO. Plus, he has a son named Oot. How cool is that?!

That sounds good to me Julia. I should be able to start it pretty much anytime in September so just let me know when you are ready to begin and we can set up a discussion thread for it.

I started the Name of the wind but I literally just read the first page, anyway, I loved it and I'd love to read the original English versión now!

Ok, I'll let you know!

I believe that is just the kid's internet name ;)

*sigh*

Can you edit the title of the Chocolat Buddy Read to say Chocolat Series Buddy Read?
I am reading the 2nd book now and plan on the 3rd after. If anyone is interested to continue the conversation, I will be happy to keep posting. Do you think this is okay, or not?

Chilly and cloudy there, I see. It has been a beautiful day here. 25C right now. I am about to leave to go have dinner with Amy and her boys.
Have a good day at work.

Do you have to go a special store to buy hard liqueur there or can you get it with the beer and wine at the corner market? In Oregon, we have to go to a State operated Liqueur Store. In California, it was much easier. The Liqueur Store was like 7-Eleven.

I'm sort of working even though I'm home sick. All these things need to be bought on the company credit card today it seems, and it's in my wallet. Ah well, nothing too taxing.
And life is not too hard really, as much as I whinge. I can wander down the hill to our shops ("corner store") as we have two bottlos in our suburb. Classy.

Have a goo..."
We have a strange winter: 33 Celsius today, and at nigth still 20

Tropic of Capricorn.
Who is Alejandro?

I bet that was a shock! We've had the same here - went from being really hot to chilly! It's supposed to be summer and I went to bed with a hot water bottle last night! (I do have a bit of a cold though which I'm sure doesn't help) It's about 17 degrees in the day but dropping to single figures over night.

It's meant to stay pretty chilly here for the next few days by the look of it :( Monday looks awful, wet and temperatures barely scraping 14 degrees during the day! Still, it is a Bank Holiday so I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised!

I envy you Rusalka!

I'll remind you of that when we are on our 10th day of over 40 and on fire.

Ah, but CR is Nord Hemisphere

:)

I set up a Buddy Read for Good Omens for Peggy and myself and anyone else who wants to come and join us. Here is the link. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Will you please add it to the calendar?

Hi Janice, Peggy just corrected me. I meant to say that we were starting THIS Friday, 12 September - Not in November. I corrected the date in the buddy read.
