I don't think we can assume much from the point where Jay Asher left off, it could go many different ways and that is a whole new story.

I would have to agree with you, because you're right.

But then again, the fact that she is a loner does not mean that she automitacally contemplates suicide.
However, it's a good way to actually show that the tapes made an impact on Clay.

When I was close to the end of the book, my face drenched with tears, I did not think the book was going to end happily. So I was surprised when Skye, a character who was introduced in a bus (with Clay) as someone who I guessed to be labeled as a "loner" in school, played a role at the end of the book.
When Clay was debating with himself about whether or not to go and talk to her I thought 'No don't let her go! Do not let there be another "Hannah" incident!' I was very happy when Clay overcame his fear and went to talk to Skye. It made me feel good to know that the tapes did not only change the lives of those who got them, but also of the people whom they interact with. I was also happy to know that the book got its small peice of "happy ending".
So what I want to know is what do you think happend between Clay and Skye? I know it is not a very important factor of the book, but there is something eating away at the back of my mind wanting, maybe even needing, to know what happend, and what people think happend, between them.
