I don't like sleeping alone. For some reason, I have really bad anxiety about sleeping, especially when I'm away from home, so sleeping next to someone helps me.

I have insomnia regardless, so I might as well have the Estes Kefauver doll with me.

Not really an answer, since you don't sleep and don't have a partner. I was thinking of inviting a long-time male friend to sleep over, but I don't really want him in my bed all night. I have a guest bedroom. Wondered if other women felt the same.

I like sleeping alone. In your case I would have no doubt: guest room for your friend. You will both be more at ease.
