Witch World by Andre Norton , Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey and The Pride of Chanur by C. J. Cherryh would be great movies.

I think a lot of current fantasy is written with a cinematic mindset. I don't mean that authors are necessarily writing to be filmed, but that the tropes and understandings of movies have trickled into the way books are written.
