'As someone who came to faith and then to journalism, the opposite way round from Lee Strobel, his story has always intrigued me. It is the true story of how an award-winning investigative journalist, the one-time legal editor of The Chicago Tribune…'

He wrote plainly? So you literally had a human heart made of actual stone, and then it was physically taken out of you and given a flesh one instead? Right ok.
You had an experience, I don't doubt that. But whether it was from God is the question. You spout off things which go against most normal understandings of Scripture (and I'm talking historically for millennia, not since 1611 or whenever), and think that you are actual Elijah reborn or whatever. That is not normal. If you truly were Elijah, then you would have more respect for the words of Jesus than you display.
As it is though, you and every *other* "Elijah" I've met on forums like this, all have one thing in common at least.. you teach twisted, mixed up doctrines that no one in the history of Christianity has done before. So I'm sure there's some commonality between all your experiences, I'm just not so sure that it's the Holy Spirit..

One confirms and complements the other. Note that Biblical teachings are simply a tutor to guide us to higher truths. Isn't it written in the bible , that we should judge by the spirit of the law and not by the letter of the law.

The King is with us, and he knows there will be a joyous world someday. He has an interview out which is the reason for joining this discussion. Let me know if you're interested.

So often we hear this phrase said about Jesus, that he was “the lamb of God” and that he “takes away the sins of the world” — but what do those things mean and how did he take away sin?
To better understand the terminology and analogy we need to go back to the Torah, the Old Testament, and look at this from a Jewish perspective and what the sacrificial lamb initially meant and how Jesus fulfills this in himself...

I just happen to know a lot about the Pentecostal religion. I went to one of there churches about ten years for reasons that was not about me. There soul verse was The Acts 2:38 I believe they would have died for that verse. It is the same way that John the Baptist was teaching, and he said himself that his way was not what you need but He that can baptise you with the Holy Ghost. St Matthew 3:11. Then John said it comes from heaven in St John 3:27 and I found out that was true when I was 31 years old. If it never worked for John how can we expect it would work for Peter? Ezekiel 36:26-27 Happened to me physically.

Do you actually read the scriptures, or just those three verses in Ezekiel and bang on about your experience?

I'm working with the author (Dr. Gene Baillee) and we would love to have some people from the Goodreads community give this book a read through and then leave a review.
If you're interested, just shoot me a message with your email and I can send you the book.
Thanks in advance!

I concentrate on the simpler side of walking with Jesus! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share!

I wanted to be a writer ever since I can remember. My father took a course on short story writing. That was priceless. I asked him so many questions about what he was working on and why that it wore him out, I'm sure. He wrote a story called 'Equals in Heaven'. It was a story about a white boxer and a black boxer going toe to toe in the ring. He read me parts of it. I thought it was the greatest story ever written.
I had great expectations then.
I'm older now. In my sixties. But I am still reaching for that high note, as they say in music. How about you?

Did you know that there are verses in the KJB of 1611 that actually mean something? Those fiction books that you mentioned they are just a bunch of crap, that people have made money off of. "Restoring the Shack" the author said he sold 20,000,000 copies. My religiou's book store in town, that is no more, said the Christians will only buy fiction books
There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun as they say, and I found out there is a heaven. If my light comes on this earth will never be the same, so far I have only been ridiculed and called a lier, but that is Biblical. As you say hitting the high note, but to old to enjoy it, but I believe God planned it this way. He has fulfilled my needs so what more does a prson need,? You can't get more blessed then that. No I don't attend any church, that should tell a person something, and I was saved a a cut rate gas station.

When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,
A wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March.

Proverbs 6:6-11 & 1 Timothy 5:8
God will always get you through your troubles and trials but sometimes we need to be able to help the less fortunate as well as ourselves.
I would rather prepare and have a surplus than having to worry about how God was going to work in my life to get me through a trial.
My faith works because I work my faith.
