I know, I know... It's not Harry Potter like what the taglines are saying, but you have to admit: the atmosphere is similar-- at least in the sense of wanting to go to someplace like this. It leaves you feeling pensive and whimsical and wanting to decorate your whole apartment in black and white.
I almost rated it a 4 because I felt there were too many unanswered questions and the plot fell flat towards the end, but had to up my rating to 5 because I read it again right after... well actually, I listened to it right after. Couldn't resist Jim Dale!
So... what did you think?

I had the feeling of something rich (like really good chocolate), and complex as I listened to this one. Whimsical? Maybe the twins? Not sure I felt the whimsy in this one.

I thought the imagery was very nice though.
I love Jim Dale, but I have to admit that I prefer to read this more than listening to it, mostly because I felt the story was a bit more romantic without me confusing Bailey with Harry and Alexander with Dumbledore, etc.
