Jenclone | 78 comments Oh good, I was wondering which country we were using The Tiger's Wife for, since the description just says "a Balkan country". Requesting it from the library today. It sounds very good.

Dee (austhokie) | 438 comments i believe croatia...the author is from there, so that seems to be the general consensus on where to claim it...I haven't read it, but there might be stuff within the story that will enable to reader to identify the country...like with Bel Canto (Ann Pratchett)...its in a south american country that isn't named, but the events were based on something that happened in Peru, so that is where I claimed it

Diane | 13052 comments It could set in be either Serbia or Croatia. I don't think it specifically says which one, so either would probably fit.

Jenclone | 78 comments Croatia sounds good to me, especially if that's where she's from.
