Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments would you rather:

1) be able to juggle better

or

2) be able to bowl better

message 2: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Juggle.

I can do both well enough, but can't juggle more than four things. I think juggling eight or so balls at once would up my "cool" factor considerably.

When I bowl regularly my average is in the high 180s, which is fine. It's not high enough for scratch leagues, but allows for some great games while still getting a few extra pins in a handicap league.

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments Bowl; I'm terrible. I can't juggle at all, and never felt the need to learn. Although it would probably help me develop a bit more hand-eye coordination...

message 4: by ms.petra (new)

ms.petra (mspetra) I already juggle several things at a time, lol, so actual juggling would be a good thing to add to my repertoire. Also my perspective of people that juggle is that they are more adventurous, while bowling is somewhat boring. So hanging out and learning/perfecting juggling would be more fun.

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I used to juggle a lot when I was in college but rarely do it anymore for lack of time and outdoor space. Juggling is especially fun once you learn to coordinate with other jugglers, passing clubs, etc. But finding people who share the interest and have flexible enough schedules to get together and juggle on a regular basis becomes difficult once you're out of school, so the chances of my ever doing this again are pretty slim. Occasionally, if I see people passing clubs in the park, I'll ask if I can sub in for a few minutes--people used to do this to me, so I figure it's okay--and I can still do some of the simpler passes but have gotten very rusty.

I go bowling once every few years and don't mind being mediocre at it. It's fun but mostly as an opportunity to hang around with friends.

message 6: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Like the Tin Man, Jonathan?

message 7: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Yes, like the Tin Man. But if they're juggling flaming torches, I become more like the Cowardly Lion.

message 8: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I hate bowling. Bowling is dumb. So juggling.

message 9: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Juggling.

message 10: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments so i take it you suck at both RA

message 11: by Mary (new)

Mary (merrussell) I think I would probably be terrible at juggling.

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Kevin "El Liso Grande" wrote: "so i take it you suck at both RA"

Not if they put the bumpers up the little kids use at birthday parties...

message 13: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Juggling. My history with bowling is too painful. Don't ask.

I guess I wouldn't mind being so good at one or the other that I could go on the professional circuit and earn millions. Outside of that possibility, I'd go with bowling because the sound of the ball hitting the pins is kind of lamely pleasant.

message 15: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 05, 2011 06:52PM) (new)

I hate bowling. I'm pretty sure I've shared this with Kevin once before.

I can juggle a bit already but would like to be able to do better.

message 16: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) Juggling. I've already turned bowling into a contact sport, so I may as well try juggling.

1) have lunch with paulie shore

or

2) ride in a car for 1 hour with rosanne barr

Kevin "El Liso Grande" wrote: "would you rather:

Have lunch with Paulie. Roseanne's voice would drive me around the bend. She sounds like she's regurgitating an asthmatic donkey.

message 19: by ms.petra (new)

ms.petra (mspetra) they both sound BRUTAL! but if I have to choose, paulie shore.

message 20: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) At least Roseanne has a brain in her head.

message 21: by ~Geektastic~ (last edited Dec 06, 2011 06:55AM) (new)

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments I'd ride with Roseanne. My family has given me experience in dealing with obnoxiously loud women. Or just obnoxious people in general.

message 22: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Where would Paulie and me be eating? How long is the lunch?

message 23: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Paulie and I.

message 24: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Roseanne.

I don't know much about Paulie Shore, but I seem to remember him as the poor man's Adam Sandler, and him I don't like at all.

Shoots Catherine to the top of the "people to watch" chart

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Paulie Shore. I think he's cute.

message 30: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments cyril - read the thread title. would you rather. that would indicate a choice. make a choice.

message 31: by Mary (new)

Mary (merrussell) I would pick Roseanne-while she can be annoying, I think she is a gutsy broad.

message 32: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments maybe if you learned to juggle bowling balls you could do both

Roseanne. Paulie Shore's voice is even more annoying than hers.

If he could remain silent throughout the meal, and we were sitting at opposite ends of a 40-foot table, maybe I could do lunch with him.

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
What if I allowed you to throw things at him?

Ok: new either/or

Would you rather have too much spaghetti or not enough ice cream?

message 36: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Life threatening things, like darts?

Too much spaghetti.

message 37: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
You can't threaten Pauly Shore's life with darts. He's not inflatable.

message 38: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Not enough ice cream.

message 39: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments great question. i'll go with not enough ice cream. although i usually always eat too much spaghetti and never have enough ice cream

I'm Italian. There's no such thing as too much spaghetti.

message 41: by ms.petra (new)

ms.petra (mspetra) never enough ice cream.

message 42: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Not enough ice cream for what?

I'm not a big ice cream eater, so I'll choose that one.

message 43: by Mary (new)

Mary (merrussell) Not enough ice cream-not really much of a fan.

message 44: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Too much spaghetti. I couldn't stand having not enough ice cream.
