I was wondering if there are any good books with a strong female character. The type of character who can stand up to the guys and maybe has to prove herself, like a strong or dominant character.
I was reading nightshade by Andrea Cremer and didnt like it as the girl seemed to have no power over the male characters.

I love this series, and the lead character is a stand for what she believes, kick ass female, without being overly dominant. I thought the author did a great job creating her personality.

Yes i liked the first book, i should read the rest of the series.

I would sugguest Karen Maria Moning the Fever Series. This series has 5 books, strong female lead, always working to prove herself. The first book is good but not great the rest of the series is 5 stars!

ahh i loved the strange angels series its totaly awesomee

I second the Mercy Thompson, The Night Huntress and the Kate Daniels series. All very very good ones.
This one is also really good although there are only two books out so far in the series.


The Vampire Academy is a great YA series with a fabulous heroine that totally kicks butt.

This series is also pretty good. I have only read the first two books but so far I have really enjoyed them.

I also really love this series as well. Definitely worth a read.
