Anne Mikusinsi (abghostwriter) | 155 comments Wondering if anyone else here, when they read, pictures people they like as the characters. That asked, wondering who everyone here does like.
Post your top three if you're so inclined..
Here are mine!
Alton Brown
Warren Zevon--yeah, he's dead. I'm sure the zillions of Elvis/John Lennon fans would understand.
Michael Emerson
I don't go for the typical pretty boys.
I like smart and a bit....eccentric for lack of a better word. ;)

Jenny | 114 comments I don't know if I picture someone I like more that I take what I read as the characters descrition and make a picture in my head. I have certain characters that I have written that I definitely have people pictured in my heart would be that character.
But if I would picture some as lead characters in some of my favorite books my top three guys would be
1. Chris Hemsworth
2. Kris Holden Ried (he's from show called Lost Girl if you don't know who he is. Great Show!!)
3. Karl Urban
I don't know why I like these guys but I do.

Oh, Kellan Lutz is hot! :D

Cool idea for a thread, Anne! Well, for me, I usually picture the character based on the personality that comes across from the page. Sometimes they will resemble the physical description given but sometimes they won't - like Bones from NH, I always pictured him with brown hair even though he was a blond when first introduced. Or Ian, who I picture as having dark brown hair vs the more reddish color he's described as having. So the image usually kind of develops in my head, never an actual person/celebrity. What usually happens is that I'll see a pic someone posts and that person will remind me or resemble the character in my head but not entirely. Does that make sense? lol So, that being said, I picture Vishous from BDB as looking very similar to Jason Momoa - body & facial features (including his smile). *sigh* He doesn't look entirely like V to me but he's very, very close. :D I think that's it though. No one else really comes to mind. :)

Terry (Ter05 TwiMoms/ MundieMoms) (ter05) | 608 comments Henry Cavill as Matthew in Discovery of Witches
Alex Pettyfer as Jace in The Nortal Instruments
Ben Barnes as Ash in The Iron Fey
Eddie Redmayne as Puck in The Iron Fey
Chris Hemsworth as Jamie in Outlander (with red hair of course)

The first 4-5 are really good and then IMO, the series starts to go downhill.

Michelle Scott (michellescottfiction) Warren Zevon...lol!

I pictured the actor who plays Alcide in True Blood as Adam in Moon Called. Also, Hugh Lowrey (House) as Haymitch in The Hunger Games.

Anne Mikusinsi (abghostwriter) | 155 comments What's so funny about my Warren? ;) To me, he's beautiful. Then again, almost everyone laughs at that. :P
Still, look. I would not kick this out of my bed.

If he were still living that is. ;)
And Hugh Laurie--rawr.

I'm completely in love with the series - there are a couple that aren't as good as the rest, but overall it's a great series. Many people only like the first few that deal with the original brothers, but two of my three favorites are #s 7 & 8! Just personal preference, but it's great world-building, romance and love scenes!! WOW!

I do that same thing, even with a great description I find myself picturing some characters totally different then they are. It's just what my mind does. I don't really picture certain actors for the books I read either. I think it's because I can see them in a lot of the movies they play and it tends to throw my books off. My husband thinks it's funny cause usually I can just see an actor in a movie and pin point what he or she has been in and if I can't it drives me crazy till I remember, maybe a little OCD there. But with that said I do have one book that I always picture a certain person for and that is Shane from Morganville Vampire. I always see my friend Sean. We were inseparable growing up and even though he has light strawberry blonde hair, he is built very much like Shane's character and their personality and attitudes are almost the same, even being looked at as the bad boy who is actually really good and sweet. I think that is way he is always in I'm mind for Shane.
