Natalee (nataleem00) | 79 comments Y'all are getting lots of newbies! I joined a few days ago but am just introducing myself. I'm Natalee... 33 y/o and mom of 3 girls. Yeah, I know... I am in trouble when we hit teen years. Let's not discuss. ;-) Anyways, I joined GR in September and am already addicted to it... bordering on need of intervention. But I have a feeling all of you can relate!! Looking forward to your discussions - I have already been reading a few and it looks like a fun group of people!

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Lori, when do we get near to 1500? because it looks like daily people keep joining us..and they just don't have a clue what they're in for!! :-)))))))

Welcome Natalee, get ready for this group!!!! And good luck, poor children. If they haven't yet, soon they will call their mum crazy and only see them behind the computer.

Natalee (nataleem00) | 79 comments Ha! My 12 yr old reads as much as, if not more than, I do and has already found GR, too! Her TBR list is getting out of hand... like mother, like daughter!

Natalee (nataleem00) | 79 comments She loves the Maximum Ride series, Twilight Series, and Princess Diaries. I am having a hard time finding books she will be interested in but that are also age appropriate. I know the Twilight series is a love story... I read it but deemed it clean enough! Plus she had already read the other three and how could I with-hold the 4th book!?!?! I think that qualifies as cruelty to children! :) She really wants to read The Gemma Doyle trilogy but I won't let her yet. Great series!! Its killing me not letting her read it but it has some mature subject matter. UGH! So I am constantly trying to find books that will interest her. If any of you have suggestions, please please send them!

Natalee (nataleem00) | 79 comments And I just talked her into trying Anne of Green Gables. She is sassy, just like Anne, so I think she will enjoy it.

Hi Natalee... thanks for posting and finding the group. We are growing quite rapidly but do not let that intimidate you. We are a very friendly bunch and would love to pick your brain for new authors and new great novels...!!

message 11: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I hear you, Natalee, I also have a teen daughter who reads like a book a day! And it's so hard to find good books for her that are not full of a lot of sex or language. She doesn't need all that yet! Why is there such trash written for the teen girls out there???

Oh, and Welcome! You will love it here.
