@ JA - I really plan on trying to be here as often as I can. Unfortunately, it isn't always as much as I want. But I gotta see my peeps!!

@ Bill - oh heck no! This was not about you putting your stuff up in the group. I really do encourage that and I think it is wonderful that you guys do that!

But just to make it clear on what I mean by SPAMMING...You come in - you post "buy my book" in about 6 - 10 folders, never talk to anyone and only come in here to post more stuff about "BUY MY BOOK."

That is what I am calling spamming. For all of you who are in here and are a real part of the group - anyone who is looking for reviews, posting reviews, loving up on some reviews (wait, I may have gone too far on that one), please - pretty please - use this group the best you can. I hope that clears stuff up a little bit. :)

@ Hayley - If you have a blog that you want to pimp out a little bit - there is a folder for blogs, websites and things like that - feel free to make your own thread under that folder and let us know what is going on there!

There is also a special folder now for anyone with blogs, websites and such who are doing giveaways and want to share it with everyone.

Could I get some 'poor baby'"s because I cannot eat chocolate??

Thank you!!

Bahahahaha!!! I WISH I were busy writing... I've been busy editing and proofing mostly...and getting ready for Christmas...and trying to spend what little time I have left with my kids. Then I'll sneak in a little sleep here and there :-)...

I can't imagine a life without chocolate. I mean, oh my goodness.... :-( *shudder*

Mysti Parker | 216 comments Patricia, you poor baby. I couldn't imagine a life without chocolate either. I've decided if Heaven doesn't have chocolate, I don't wanna go ;)

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

Too right. Chocolate helps with everything (and it goes with everything too). My condolences.

Cats work. Just don't feed them chocolate, or eggs and toast.

message 70: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Noooo, really? See, when I find people who hate chocolate I often offer to take it off their hands (in a spirit of altruistic helpfulness you understand), but I think the postage would be a bit much in Mrs Splitter's case.

Fun facts about chocolate:
Scientists say its not an aphrodisiac ( I say Wth do they know?)
Chocolate is actually a good masking agent for bad tasting foods and medicine.

message 79: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments The hell you say! lol

Scientists, what do they know about aphrodisiacs? Show me a scientist that looks like they've had their world rocked in the last month :).

You know what is an aphrodisiac? Jewelry. Must be some mineral hidden in gold and silver. Oh, and taking out the trash without being told to, that is almost as good as chocolate...but nowhere near as "can't miss" as jewelry.

:)

Have you heard the song 'Business Time' by 'Flight of the Concords' (two New Zealand comedians)? Very funny, along the line of what helps to make it business time. I think taking out the rubbish gets a mention, can't remember chocolate being there though. And yesterday all this talk of chocolate drove me out of the house and into the nearest village to buy some!

I don't know... I'd take garbage duty or dishes or dusting over jewelry any day. Any time my hubby "works" around the house for me - very nice... :-)

You do that?! Lucky Mrs Splitter! A sleep-in also comes close to chocolate (haven't had one in ten years! Not since the birth of my first child.)

message 88: by C.S. Splitter (new)

You are always gone for so long I guess and your comments always make me laugh or smile.

Please do!
I love pigs....of the animal kind. Not the men kind.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

Farm animals? I can certainly help there. My son bought a duckling at the markets today, despite the fact that we have had a duck explosion on our farm (3 in the first year, 21 the second and about 60 this year!). 'You can be the mother' he said. So kind. Add that to our 60 odd chooks, two dogs and two goats...
And you are a funny man Splitter. Personally I try not to look under our couch too often (who knows what manner of horrors lurk there?)

Oh oh oh! I wanna visit your house for sure!

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

It's a bit chaotic at the moment. The ducks start quacking for breakfast at 5am, the chooks call for it around 6. So I'm up and at it, while the rest of the family sleep peacefully. I can't function well before I've had coffee (freshly ground of course, Jac!) But in between it's pretty blissful. I don't know if any of you have seen 'The Gormet Farmer' but we live in the same town.

As I'm typing this post 'Stormy' one of our ducks is walking past the front door with her twelve fluffy yellow ducklings. Very cute, very loud. :) Georgina.
