Rosemarie laughed outright at that, throwing her head down as her cheeks burned. "Well I suppose that depends," she replied as she lifted her head back up. "Which would you prefer?"

"Me, I'm fine with both. Either way, I win."

"And why would you win either way?"

Now Raven did laugh, just a little. Rosemarie was amusing him with her ignorance. "Because you can't beat me at my own game and let's face it--being kissed by a pretty girl is pretty much a win no matter how you slice it. You're not such a bad kisser, either. I mean, as far as I can tell. We've only had one real kiss."

The girl paused for a moment and then shook her head. "No. You've kissed me more times than that. I count at least three." She chose to ignore Raven's comment, though it did make her blush gently and smile slightly.

"Yeah, but those weren't real kisses, they were teases. The only real kiss we've shared was in the graveyard a few weeks ago when I asked if you wanted to see me shirtless." Raven grinned when she blushed and gave her a gentle smack on the cheek. "Now hurry up and decide before I decide for you."

Quick as lightning, the now former Huntress grabbed the boy's hand and bit it. Gently so as not to sink her teeth into it, and then dropped it with a face. "Yuck." Grinning, she stalled herself again, partly for amusement and partly because she didn't know what she was doing. "And what would your decision be? Might I remind you that I do so much hate to be taunted."

"Did you just bite my hand?" Raven looked quite surprised, gaze flitting from the little teeth marks on his skin to Rosemarie's grinning face. "You just bit my hand! Why the hell did you do that?"

"Because you smacked my cheek!" The young girl replied with an even larger grin, struggling to hold back a laugh. "You only deserved it, you know."

Raven scoffed and shook his head. "Girls," he muttered.

"You just changed the subject," she pointed out with a frown. "Boys. Always keeping off track."

Raven's tongue made a brief appearance as he grinned. "Remind me, what were we talking about? Your stupid animal instincts made me forget what I was saying."

"I believe you were deciding whether you would rather kiss me or taunt me. And I was reminding you that I hate to be taunted when my stupid animal instincts kicked in and distracted you." Not so patiently, the redhead raised one eyebrow and though she was still smirking, looked expectedly at Raven.

The Indian chuckled quietly. "It's a kiss you want, then."

Feigning a look of not caring, Rosenarie shrugged. "It's up to you. I'm just you know, dropping hints and stating facts."

Raven just smiled. It was nice of Rosemarie to care for once. Without a word he closed the distance between them and tilted her head so that her lips met his in a gentle kiss.

Slowly she wrapped her arms around Raven's strong neck and pulled herself closer. She pressed her lips against his again in another kiss and then smirked, pulling back and tryin to fight a full-on grin. "Good. It seems so dropped the right amount of hints."

Raven offered a smirk of his own. "So it seems. We should get a camera, record this, and post it on Youtube. That or show it to everyone so I can gloat about how I've finally won." He looked thoughtful for a moment. "And if I were a storybook villain that kind of statement would be followed by some kind of maniacal laughter. Would that ruin the mood, do you think?"

Shaking her head, Rosemarie chuckled. "Yes, I definitely think that would ruin the mood. How exactly woul you call this winning?" She asked after a moment. "Perhaps I likes you first, and then you started playing your little games and trying to suck me in. Therefor that would mean you were just feeding something that had already existed."

Raven grinned but said nothing. They both knew that's not how it was. He was about to argue when another thought struck him and he shook his head. "You know what, I'm not even going to argue about it right now. Shut up and kiss me, woman."

Rosemarie laughed and did as she was told. Tipping her head forward, she pressed her lips against his.

((I am so bad at romance scenes. LOL))

Raven let this kiss last a good few seconds before he pulled away and gave her a curious look. "So, is it official then?" he asked, tilting his head to the side a little as a bird might in his same situation. "You love me after all?"

[S'okay so am I. Writing abou it is totally different than actually doing it. O.o]

The girl had to study his face to decide whether he was being serious or sarcastic. Deciding he was being serious- at least for the moment - Rosemarie decided to give her response some real thought. "And how important is my answer to you?"

((Yeah? I'm not attracted to boys, I wouldn't know. XD))

Raven paused, thought about it. She had, after all, said 'you' and not 'the game.' He reviewed all their meetings in his mind, ending with the last few, and decided on his answer. "Very important," he told her. "And I mean that. You've been my friend here, Rosie. You're helping me remember that life isn't just deception and strategy and games."

[... You might want to explain that to me. XD]

At this she smiled. A real, genuine smile as the pit of her stomach warmed itself up. This wasn't him playing her pawn in a game, this was Raven bein Raven. In her own way, it seemed as though the former Huntress had won as well. She had snuck into Raven and discovered him behind the games and snark. "Then if it's that important to you, I'd say it's quite the possibility." She left it at that, not finding it necessary to pour her hert out Nd especially not when she didn know where Rave thought he stood in all of this.

((Aspreger's Syndrome = being high-functioning = antisocialness. I never talk to anyone because they're all idiots. Thus, I don't know human company.))

The truth was, he didn't know where he stood. Right now, he had Rosemarie categorized somewhere between 'friend' and 'lover', not sure exactly where she stood. And now, as their relationship got more complicated, it was getting harder and harder to see the path clearly. But now he smiled at the girl; thoughts pushed away. "That's fine," he said. "Just fine."

[Ah. Not where I thought you were going with that at all.]

"Well good. Glad that got cleared up." Somewhat cleared up, anyways. But she figured that in time this would set itself right. Though figuring out exactly where the other stood would be helpful as well. "So does this mean you can tell me what it means to 'go at it'?" She suddenly asked, a grin creeping over her features yet again.

((Where did you think I was going, exactly?))

Raven laughed. "Oh, hell no. You'd still try to kill me if I told you."

[Well you said you weren't attracted to boys so I was like "... So you're attracted to girls?" xD]

"That wouldn't be such a bad thing," she pointed out. "It would seriously make up for all the kissing we've been doing."

((Oh! Nah. I'm attracted to no one. :P))

"Maybe. Maybe so. But I have to say I'd much rather kiss you than fight for my life." Raven grinned and laughed a little. "Fighting is nice, but only when you're into it. I wouldn't be into it because you haven't pissed me off."

[Okay! Long as we've clarified. XD]

"Then that leaves us with two options." Rosenarie lifted a finger. "One, we can keep kissing or," she lifted another finger. "Or I antagonize you until I piss you off and then we fight or wrestle or whatever."

"You're going to piss me off?" Raven raised his eyebrows at her. "I'd love to see you try."

"I probably could," she figured with a shrug. "I mean, I'm sure I've down I before, so why should this time be any different?"

"Yeah, but all those times were on accident. Have you ever intentionally tried to get me mad?" Raven sounded a little uncertain, and an expression of thought was on his face as he reviewed their meetings. He couldn't recall right off the bat a time when Rosemarie had tried to get him upset on purpose, because he sure hadn't ever blown up on her.

"Hmmmm." Thinking the young girl placed her chin on her hands. "Well no, I haven't actually tried to make you mad before. I've been extremely flustered with you before and I lost me temper but you weren't all that fazed by it."

"Exactly. I know what self-control is, Rosemarie. It's kind of hard to intentionally bait me." Dom had tried, he had failed. Sam had tried, she had failed. The times he had flown off the handle were all by chance--Lena and Yvette with their words, Hada with her ignorance--and with all that in mind Raven figured now that he was pretty good at keeping himself in check.

[I love how it's all my characters that fail at baiting him. XD]

"Well then fine. I suppose no one can beat you at your own game." She sighed in defeat. It seemed it would be completely pointless for her to continue and at least attempt to make Raven a pawn, as fun as I had been at some point.

((LOL, IKR?))

"I've already informed you that it's impossible," Raven replied with a chuckle. He gave her a light kiss on the cheek. "But don't look so down, Rosie. If you want, I can teach you how to play. We just need to find someone for a demonstration."

Rosemarie scoffed and pushed him away with a large smile. "All right then." again she thought. No one was around to demonstrate on, and she really didn't see the point in going to track someone down. "Well why don't we just demonstrate on ourselves?"

Raven gave her a lopsided grin, raising an eyebrow. "You really want me to do that?"

"I think maybe I can handle that." She nodded with a somewhat nervous smile. Maybe she could handle it.

"All right then. Whatever you say." The nervousness was of course noticed, and Raven's smile turned rather sly. "Just give me some ammo and we'll get started. The usual won't work anymore; betraying Artemis was your idea and I didn't even force you into it. We need something else."

The word betraying sounded so harsh it caused Rosenarie to cringe then backtrack herself to make it appear like a shudder. "Hmm, all right. Well I have gotten into the habit of killin and/or severely injuring men. Eh?"

A roll of his eyes, a scoff, a small smirk. It was amazing sometimes how easily Raven could slip from a gentle, laughing boy to the predator the asylum thought they knew so well. "Well, that's nothing new, is it darling? I thought your "habit" was what landed you here in the first place."

A shrug and a face made at Raven. "No, it's what led to me being here. But, yeah, I suppose you're right."

"Aren't I always?"

"Pah," the former Huntress rolled her eyes. That was her only response, though as she knew she was a terrible liar and wasn't about to admit the truth.

"You and your eyes," Raven remarked, a smirk tugging at his lips. "They're always so...expressive. They're what make you so readable, you know. If you'd learn to control your eyes, I wouldn't have such an easy time provoking you."

"Control my eyes?" Rosemarie raised an eyebrow in Raven's direction with light disbelief crossing over her expression. Whether she could control her eyes or not- whatever that meant- she was sure that Raven would be able to read her like an open book, anyways. She felt like glass with him around; totally clear.

"Exactly. For example, look at me." Raven tilted her chin so that the former Huntress faced him, showing her his unreadable expression. "Right now, I'm very amused. Can you tell?"
