Janice, what did you think of The Bone People?

Interesting Kimberly. When I was you..."
I've heard that song! I'll let you know how I like it when I'm done :)

omg that's funny. Someone stole
The Book Thief book lol. Did you know the Bible is most commonly stolen book? Oh the irony.

Janice, what did you think of The Bone People?"
I gave it 3 stars. I found the writing style difficult to understand. The themes of alcoholism and child abuse were disturbing.

Interesting Kimberly..."
Yes, please let me know.

The Bone People was one of the first literary fiction books that I ever read and I too found the writing style difficult but there were alot of images that I really liked and some of the characters I found fascinating.

Don't you love to get a big box of books? It looks like you have some great selections!

Kimberly, Bride of France looks great."
It does doesn't it? I love books like this!

And I grabbed these off the shelves while I was waiting for the check out line to disperse:

I love the cover for Tilt Amber! I hope you enjoy it!

I'm going to run right out and get that one. I'm really struggling in that area.
I quit cooking some years ago when I went on strike, and never picked it back up again. Now that I'm alone, I think I've forgotten how to cook.
I "boiled" chicken drumsticks in mushroom sauce the other day and have tried to salvage them in two different ways. Let's just say, all three dishes were fails.
Break out the ice cream!

That one looks good AmyK let us know how it goes :) I'm reading the authors blog right now!

Postmortem
The Great Gatsby
The Tea Rose
It
Dune: House Atreides"
Hooray for Dune!!
Curious how you like IT.....i read a lot of Stephen King books when i was younger, and everyone raves about IT. I didn't like it

I just need to rekindle the joy of cooking. I used to love to cook. Maybe some new recipes would help.

I've been meaning to read LITTOC and to reread One Hundred Years of Solitude. Darn, I meant to do that this year, and the year is almost over.

I've been meaning to read LITTOC and to rerea..."
I started LITTOC long back and was more than halfway through when I had to return the book I borrowed from friend. Now I think I need to start from the very beginning and read it completely. Reread OHYOS, wow! That does seem like it should suffice for a one-time read, still on my list. Good luck with finishing them this year or then, maybe, the next. :D

Ooooh - I would love to hear how you like Illuminations: A Novel of Hildegard von Bingen. I have this book on my wishlist.

And I grabbed this one of the shelf because I'm making christmas gift baskets this year with Darren for the family.

Thanks Pragya! Have you read Ten yet?"
Not yet but I have heard so many good things about it.

Ooh, Christmas gift baskets, interesting. Be sure to paste in 'what you made lately' folder. :)

and grabbed this one from the shelf for a lighter fun read:
