This folder contains all other on-going or extended challenges. There are any types of challenges in the folder from an author challenge to an A-Z challenge to a personal book challenge.

Always post in topic if you will be joining in on the challenges for we keep running logs of all members who have joined in on the challenges.

Note:

Once you have a published list of books for that specific month, that is your box/space to update it. When updating that you have finished or completed a book please use the original post. It is simple to do, all you have to edit the post, and make what ever changes are necessary.

Thanks!

Rachel Skye

We have the Series 2012 challenge which is series you want to read through out the 2012 year. There is A- Z challenge which are book titles through the alphabet and then the personal 2012 challenge is the one where you pick the amount of books you wish to read in 2012

Chelsey (hiddenreader) | 27 comments I know this is a silly question but I've noticed a lot of people have a line though there books when they have finished them in the A-Z and Series Challenges. How is this done?

Angie (seren-lucy) Use this < symbol, put a small s (for strike), then use this symbol > to close. Put this to the left of your book title. On the right of your book title put the < symbol again, followed by /, then another small s, finally >. No spaces at all.
I tried to make it simpler, but it just striked out my comment!
's' meaning strike. Replace the s with a b to bold and i for italics.
Hope this makes sense.

When doing challenges such as the "A-Z Challenge" do they all have to be novels or do poetry and short stories count as well?

It is really up to you. Normally it is preferred that it is a book, but if you feel that a poem/ collection of poems or short story will fit under the criteria, you may.

Okay. It's just that, I've been reading a lot of Edgar Allan Poe and didn't know.

Jenny (jennyc89) | 135 comments Are we going to do a 2014 Classics challenge? That's one of my favorites.

Noreen Barr | 9 comments Would anyone be interested in a Read Your Name 2015 challenge?

message 22: by Jim (new)

Jim Townsend | 35 comments A lot of old posts that I haven't read. I was thinking of an open-ended Read Your Age challenge in which you read at least one book published in each year of your life, including your birth year. For me that would entail reading st least 56 books, one or more published each year from 1963 to 2018.
