Hi Groupies, I am in need for a third Moderator to give me a hand in keeping this group afloat and organized.

Moderator duties will include: Inviting new members to join, welcoming new members, posting book reviews, adding new topics/discussions,coming up with creative ideas to keep members active, helping with up coming group events. Some knowledge of HTML e.i. links and picture posting ,and being able to log into Goodreads multiple times in the morning/night if possible to chat with group members and etc. I know its a lot but it's tons of fun I promise!

If you are up for the challenge- Please email me your answers to the following questions below:

1. Would you be able to be committed to the group if chosen?

2. What type of books do you like to read? And are you open to other genres?

3.If you could compare yourself to a character in a book who would it be and why?

4.How many times do you get on Goodreads a day? And what time(s)

5. Why do you want to be a moderator of "Shut up & Read" and what could you contribute to our group?

6. How many books would you say you read a month?

7. One word to describe yourself?

8. Would you mind if the other Mods contacted you through GR,email,or by phone?

Hey everyone! I'm Sheri, and I am completely addicted to Goodreads. I log on multiple times a day to check and see what everyone is talking about...very bad when I'm supposed to be working. I love getting new book suggestions and meeting new people to discuss books with. I've found so many great books through GR that I probably would have never heard of otherwise. I love to read and would rather be reading than just about anything else. I love being pulled into a world that I never could have created on my own. My most read genres are paranormal, paranormal romance, YA, urban fantasy, thriller/suspense, and horror, but I am always open to suggestions.

About Me: I have kids, I work from home, and I literally am at the computer eight or more hours a day :/ (Of course, some of that time is spent on GR!). I also do a lot of volunteer work, so I am always very busy. I am a night owl, many nights staying up until 12:00 or 1:00 (later on weekends), and then getting up around 5:00 or 5:30 to start my day. Who needs sleep? My favorite food is Mexican, I love Mt. Dew, and I am a little OCD. I think that's it. I look forward to chatting with all of you about books and such!

Hi Everyone,

First I want to say thank you to Tt for answering all my questions that I am going to be asking in the future LOL What is that old say " patience is a virtue" ha-ha.

So a little bit about myself:

I am really looking forward to being a moderator in this great group and meeting all the members old and new.

So most of my evenings and weekends are spent reading, and looking around on goodreads. I have a blog that I have been working on a daily basis, its been fun and I am learning new things everyday.

I am an avid reader, and I read many different types of books. My favorites are YA and adult PNR/UF, mystery, murder, YA and adult romance. I love a book that can make me laugh.

I just recently bought a kindle and I love it, I carry around with me everywhere I go I bought it a pink case to keep it safe. I love electronics devices....I needed an I pad so I went out and bought one, then I decided I should have a blackberry playbook so I ordered one of them to. In my defence it was 300 dollars off. I really wanted the kindle fire but they are not being sold in Canada yet.

Ok so I am Canadian, I live in a small town in Northern Ontario...we get a lot of snow and have very cold winters. Maybe to show everyone the true north I will take some pictures when we have a snow storm.

Other then that I spend most of my time reading or on goodreads. Lately I have been on my blog trying to figure out how to add things to it.

I am always available to answer any questions so email me anytime. I look forward to seeing what everyone is reading and hope we can all share our thoughts on these books.

Thanks for reading about me.

Tana

Hi Sheri, I went to add you to my friends list and you were one already LOL I laughed when I read your post, omg we could be sisters I have ADD and I tend to be on goodreads while I'm at work to I even read sometimes but no one knows that but me and now you LOL.

I am a night hawk and tend to hit my bed around 1 or 2 on work nights, most people think I work to hard haha and should take some time off.

Anyway I am glad to meet you and I think we are all going to have fun in this great group.

Tana

I just bought my kindle touch a few weeks ago and love it also! I wouldn't trade it for the world. But I still will always prefer printed books over ebooks unfortunately. But the kindle makes it easy to carry around my books in my purse because it's light and I get to read books that are only available in e format. So yeah it's pretty awesome.

I live in a town of 5000 people and we don't have one bookstore here. So I excited when I was on the net and found out I could buy books in ebook format. I also still like to own my favorite books and when I travel I buy tons of books to bring home.
