Kimberly First off let me say that I do love my paranormal romances but they seem to be so similar with the big alpha paranormal being and I was wondering if I could get some recommendations where the Woman is the supernatual being and the male is human or another type of supernatural being.
Thanks!

Read that one, throughly enjoyed it you've reminded me to get back into the series.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Glad to help! That's all I can think of off the top of my head- I'll ponder and see if I can come up with more...

I'll have to give that one another chance, tried reading it a few months back and couldn't get past page 30.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Oh, it's so funny- but the main character does have an almost ADD thing going on- I identified with it and loved the humor

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments In the Immortals After Dark series the hero and heroine are often different supernatural beings, and therefore at odds with each other. Here are some examples:
A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole werewolf/vampire
No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole vampire/valkyrie
Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole werewolf/witch
Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole vampire/phantom
The other books in the series are:
Dark Desires After Dusk (Immortals After Dark, #6) by Kresley Cole Kiss of a Demon King (Immortals After Dark, #7) by Kresley Cole Deep Kiss of Winter (Includes Immortals After Dark, #8; Alien Huntress, #4.5) by Kresley Cole Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Immortals After Dark #9) by Kresley Cole Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark, #10) by Kresley Cole Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immortals After Dark, #11) by Kresley Cole Lothaire (Immortals After Dark, #12) by Kresley Cole

That's fine. Here are more suggestions.
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
The Vampire Stalker by Allison Van Diepen
The Hush Hush Series by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Thought of a few more...

Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire very little romance (until most recent book) but wonderful world, great female!

Casting Spells (Sugar Maple, #1) by Barbara Bretton ... Urban Fantasy/Romance with human male love interest

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments Under Witch Moon (Moon Shadows #1) by Maria E. Schneider Under Witch Aura (Moon Shadows #2) by Maria E. Schneider

And
Opal Fire (Stacy Justice Mystery #1) by Barbra Annino Bloodstone (A Stacy Justice Mystery) by Barbra Annino

Are both wonderful series!

Where do you live? Perhaps you could borrow from me (or one of us).

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments If you like shifters and humor (often LOL funny), you might like Shelly Laurenston's Pack and Pride series. In Go Fetch! (Magnus Pack, #2) by Shelly Laurenston and Here Kitty, Kitty! (Magnus Pack, #3) by Shelly Laurenston , the heroines are human and the heroes are shifters (a wolf and a tiger). The women are definitely kick ass.

Kimberly Thank you everyone for all the wondeful suggestions!
If you think of anymore let me know!

Very good books! I loved them and they are funny.

Laura Beagle | 3 comments Shelly Laurenston also writes as G.A.Aiken and has a series with dragons that is also very good and funny.
Starts with Dragon Actually
and there are three more that follow but they should be read in order but I felt it was worth it.

Lisa (lisabethdarling) | 3 comments The Heart of War
Book #1 in the OF WAR Series of romantic/erotic paranormal thrillers. If you like Greek Mythology this series is for you. Come along for a journey of action, lust, love, rage, and redemption with Ares God of War and Magdalena MacLeod a 1/2 human 1/2 fey woman. Read the reviews here on GoodReads, on Amazon.com and others. Each story in this series is just $0.99 through KINDLE until 12/25. Fall in love with Ares and Alena, they're guaranteed to keep the cold winter months steamy. :)
