Petra X (petra-x) Lady Gaga. I was never really a Madonna fan.

Would you rather go to a big buffet party or a small sit-down dinner party?

message 602: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hmm...Lady Gaga just lately. Although that one song that says something about a disco stick or whatever it is gets on my nerves.

WYR go to an amusement park or a haunted house?

message 603: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Trapeze artist. The other frightens me!

Would you rathe be rich or famous?

message 604: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Dddddunno ; -) /- ) ;-)

Would you rather wear your knickers on top of your tights like Superman or a stupid face mask like Spiderman?

message 605: by [deleted user] (new)

A stupid face mask like spiderman then I wouldn't scare people, maybe. LOL!

Would you rather go for a late swim or late bike ride.

WYR donate a good amount of money to charity or spend one week doing something for charity?"

I'd spend a week doing something for charity. It would feel good to be more involved. I think it would also make me more appreciative of those who engage in voluntary work.

Michael, this is a game thread where you answer the question above and set one yourself for the person below, rather than commenting on things out of context that catch your fancy. Why don't you join us? We'd love to have you join in playing with us.

Swim in the nice warm Caribbean sea please.

Would you go out tonight to a really good restaurant with a fabulously-attractive person who has no conversation at all or stay in and play on Goodreads and FB with all of us? (Loaded question!)

WYR play a musical instrument well or cook a gourmet meal?"

I like cooking but I wish I could play the electric guitar!

message 609: by Michael (new)

Michael Obiora (michael_obiora) | 42 comments Didn't think my answers were out of context : )

I wanted to think of an interesting question.

Hopefully this is one!: WYR satisfy your thirst or your hunger?

message 610: by [deleted user] (new)

Thirst.

WYR read fiction or non-fiction?

message 611: by Michael (new)

Michael Obiora (michael_obiora) | 42 comments tough, but fiction for the potential escapism.

WYR send a postcard or an email?

message 612: by [deleted user] (new)

Michael wrote: "WYR send a postcard or an email?"

Email. There's never enough room on a postcard.

Fiona wrote: "WYR live life constantly excited on the edge, or just a calm but not really exciting life?"

Exciting, because I don't want to look back in my old age and regret.

WYR meet the love of your life or your favourite author?

message 613: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Ballet. I love ballet and loathe opera.

Would you rather do GR or FB?

message 614: by [deleted user] (new)

GR, don't have facebook and have no intention of remedying that!

WYR eat Indian or Chinese cuisine?

message 615: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (topeach) | 1 comments Definitely tea. It's the stuff that dreams are made of. XD It's definitely my version of nectar. Oh, I'm just crazy about tea!

WYR eat the same meat for the rest of your life, or be a vegetarian?

message 616: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Fiona wrote: "Veggie, I'm fish veggie as it is. (Feggie?)

WYR go to a nudist camp for a week or spend a week on a booze cruise? "

How can you be a fish veggie? Fish are just as much living creatures as chickens or pigs?

Booze cruise. Nudist camps ought to be only for shapely people. (I had a bad experience with a nudist who was very fat. I was crouched down buying postcards from the bottom of a wire rack on a beach early one morning. I went to stand up but I was blocked in by a huge fat naked man. I could see his meat and two veg and a gigantic belly but everything else upwards was blocked. Put me off nudism for life). I don't like booze but I guess I could get used to it!

Would you rather be an elephant keeper in a zoo or a brickie in construction?

message 617: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I'm mostly vegetarian but that's just because I have a preference for veggie stuff. I used to have moral issues with animals being killed for me to eat and touching dead flesh and stuff, but I don't anymore. I prefer my meat not to look like it though (salmon steaks, meatballs, spag bol, all that is ok).

Would you rather be an elephant keeper in a zoo or a brickie in construction?

message 618: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 19, 2009 03:00PM) (new)

Elephant keeper, at least I would feel thin for once.

WYR go back in time and change your future for the better, or carry on no regrets?

[I used to be a pescetarian too, told myself that fish are dumb creatures so less important :*) S'pose it should have been other way round as they're indangered. Wouln't call it vegetarianism though]

message 619: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Lauren wrote: "[I used to be a pescetarian too, told myself that fish..."

Fish might be dumb, but squid definitely are intelligent. (Lucky I loathe calamari).

Go back in time. I don't think I have much to look forward to if I carry on...

Would you rather have nice big pouty lips or long furry eyelashes?

WYR read a used book from a correctional facility or a book with an unknown stain on the corner of the pages...

Meet the love of my life, I don't think meeting your hero is always a good thing!

WYR go to space or reach the top of Mount Everest?

message 622: by [deleted user] (new)

Reach the top of Mount Everest I suppose.

WYR read classic or contemporary fiction?

message 623: by galya (new)

galya Tough one. But I choose to go out for a movie, I stay home and read too much already.

message 624: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 24, 2009 05:30PM) (new)

Cammieo wrote: "That's a hard one, I like both. Right now though, I'm reading more contemporary.

Would you rather be poor and happy or rich and miserable."

I'd like to say poor and happy, living each day for what it is, but I know I could never be truly poor and happy. So the latter.

WYR be the shepherd or the sheep?

message 625: by galya (new)

galya Woah, I was so out of place there.

message 626: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Shepherd if I could have a lot of books with me. Otherwise sheep, no responsibility just munch munch all day (and weight gain would be Good!)

Would you rather climb a mountain or go caving?

message 627: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Rowing machine, burns up more calories.

Would you rather write replies for 'would you rathers' or slam spammers?

message 628: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh tough one. I think slam spammers. However, Fiona is really good at that!

Would you rather work all day or play all day long?

message 629: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Play all day--I hate my job.

Would you rather live where there are tornadoes or where there are wildfires?

message 630: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I live where there are hurricanes. That's ok, so I suppose tornadoes.

Would you rather have my job, own a bookshop but not make any money, or have a job where you make loads of money but work for someone else?

message 631: by Epee (new)

Epee (epers) Own a bookshop. I hate having a boss.

Would you rather have books in print or on Kindle and audio devices?

Hard or soft-boiled eggs?

message 635: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) soft

would you rather dance in the raid or dance in the snow?

message 636: by Michael (new)

Michael (m1land) | 2 comments In the snow. I've only seen more than a half-inch of snow like twice in my life. Would you rather go skydiving, jump out of the plane, and be told that you have to name 15 different vegetables before being able to pull the ripcord, or go bunjee jumping and have the cord break, with a 75% chance that you will hit the safety net and 25% that you hit the ground?

message 637: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) 10 classics.

Would you rather go on a summer vacation or a winter one?

message 638: by Wendy T (new)

Wendy T Summer

Would you rather read a hardcover book or paperback book?

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) Hardcover. I worry paperbacks will get damaged when I tote them around in my bag.

Would you rather read an excellent debut author or a mediocre (for your taste) bestselling author?
