It would depend on the book, but if I must choose not knowing which book I would rather read a book with the last page missing.I could make up one that seemed to fit.

Sandra (sanddune) If the distance were within 50 miles the back roads. For a longer trip the highway. So I guess if I could only choose one it would be the back roads.

I'll opt for Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. I would doubtless learn more about something I know next to nothing about at the exhibit, but I like Stravinsky.

Oh I love rainy days! There is a grand poem I think by Thomas Hardy that mentions rain streaming down a window like filling in answers vertically in a crossword puzzle. So there it combines two of my favorite things. Yes, I would choose walking in the rain. I do not like snow. Being teased is fun as long as it is kind -- that was.

Would you rather read poetry silently or aloud?

Sandra (sanddune) Language is beautiful. That is why I enjoy the poets. They cause me to both think and to feel.
Maybe I could have gone to final rehearsal?
I have signed some petitions that I felt strongly about, so I guess I'll go with that.

With George's residential care in the cards I have to choose # 1. I would prefer #2 within reason. I am careful usually.

Tough, tough call. Latter years involved teaching mentally challenged so that would be my choice today. Earlier it would have been the opposite.

Sandra (sanddune) Fiona, delighted you like to talk to older people. We in turn enjoy talking with younger ones. Older people have had more time to develop quirks along with eccentricities while secretly enjoying them. I think many British writers capitalize on this.

Read. I get the wisdom and experiences of other points of view.
