Q&A with Shelly Crane discussion

-Nora from Hush, Hush drives me insane. I don't think I've ever wanted to slap a fictional character as much.
-Laurel from Wings is so incredibly selfish. Honestly don't know what Tam and David see in her (Team Tamani, btw)
-Luce from Fallen. And Daniel from Fallen. Neither of them have many redeeming qualities.
-Piper from Collide. She's the epitome of evil b\c she's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
-Tate from Devour b\c he makes you feel a little sorry for him but he doesn't deserve it.

Ha! I'm with you on a lot of those! I tried Fallen and Luce really annoyed me. Same with Norafrom Hush, Hush-I only read the first book because she bugged me so bad.
Piper? Ugh. Can't stand her. Especially after what she did to Sherry and Merrick in Uprising (can't wait for December 24!!!!!!) and Laurel? She got on my nerves too. The idea was really neat and I liked the first book but the second one...i don't k ow I just didn't like it. Probably because I'm a team Tamani too. ;) I still haven't read book 3 though. I've heard some people say it's a bit redeeming for the series...opinion anyone?

I've gotten about half way through book 3 but it's my least favorite Laurel book. She's particularly flip-floppy :) It's a shame b\c I LOVED book 1 & book 2 was alright. I just can't stand love triangles.

I'm not huge on them either. For me I think it's because that's probably one of the things I want most in a heroine; loyalty. I don't like it when they're stinging both guys along. I always kind of felt like well, if you can't choose just don't date either of them until you can.
Eeryones different though. I'll still read love triangles but I usually get annoyed at them after awhile. That's one of my favorite things about your books, the girls and the guys are always completely loyL to each other and that just makes you awesome! :) lol

Luce -definitely! And Elena (Vamp Diaries) she's such a ho-bag! And Heath & Zoey (House of Night) both are so obnoxious!!

Thank you, Evie! And Jackie, oh yeah. Zoey and Heath drove me crazy too. And Bella from Twilight. I think she's my least favorite female character, in the first 2 books anyway.

I agree about Bella. I still remember the first time I read it at 14. It was the first real romance I had ever read and I remember thinking how I kind if didn't wantto fall in love after that. I mean, Edward was sweet in his way, Merrick and Caleb are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better, but Bella was so obsessed with Edward she abandoned who she was. I don't know I had always pictures falling in love to be different.
Since then I've read a ton in YA books, indie and mainstream and have discovered that there are romances like the ones I dreamed abou when I was little and that the heroines were actually admirable! Lol

Me too, Jackie! I've never really understood the fascination with them, but to each his own! ;)

I love paranormal stuff so I don't like something as common as love triangles. "True Love" is much more exciting and less common. That's why Significance is my favorite love story ever - it's so unique & exciting to know that they won't ever love anyone else! (And I am TRUSTING YOU not to BREAK MY HEART & change that!!!) :D

I can't stand Jacob from the Twilight Saga. He is so annoying to me. Give it up she does not love you like that. Such a whiner. The imprint thing threw me over the edge. It was kinda gross to me. I could do without the wolves and all that. Just give me the Cullens. LOL TEAM EDWARD!

Yeah, me too Charrie. When I realized that half of book 4 was in Jacobs POV, I was so mad! Team Edward, all the way!

I couldnt stand Heath from the House of Night, oh my gosh did I dislike him. Leah from Twilight I hated her in the books and I hated her in the movies there is nothing I like about her. Shay from Nightshade annoys me I actually couldnt read the 2nd book because I didnt like his character. Luce from Fallen, I like her but in this last book, Passions I just couldnt stand her. This having to go back to every time her and Daniel fell in love to know if their love is "true love" and how to break the "curse" was annoying. Marcus from Significane, oh my Caleb should have killed him when he had the chance....I know I know, It wouldnt make a great story but still.....grrr :)

I said the same thing! I would be grossed out if a guy who loved me suddenly fell in love with my daughter?!? I was grossed out by that fact.

Im not sure I will finish the series because of Shay, I really love Ren and if she isnt going to be with Ren then I dont want to read it. I liked the fact that they took you back to how Luce and Daniel fell in love but I agree it didnt get us anywhere in the book, I dont feel like it made any progress and really didnt set anything up for Rapture, I have hope however that Rapture will bring it all together *fingers crossed*

I too was creeped out about the whole Jacob imprinting thing*shivers* Shelly Im like you most sequels dont live up to the hype, there are very few 2nd books that I enjoyed more than the first. You my friend are in that very few lump. Your books get better and better... THANK GOODNESS :)

Cathy and Heathcliff. I hate them both but it is still one of favorite books! I also hate the Watson's. Marla and Marcus are making me real mad. Shoot my list can go on and on:)

Ok I am 67% done with Uprising and I officially HATE Piper. Ugh so openly mean and hateful. Polly is right up there with her. Loving the book. I will be done just in time to get Catalyst.

Jacob - Twilight series
Evie - Premonition series (especially in Indeted)
Mrs. Robinson - Fifty series
Deidre - Devoured

I wanna slap Rose from Vampire Academy across the face! I mean she just hurt Adrian and I want to hurt her! And I also don't really like Dimitri!
I don't really like Katy from Lux Series. I mean she just makes so many mistakes because she thinks she can handle all situations! This is not being brave, it's being stupid and stubborn!

Marcus!!! Evil bastard!!!

Oh, and my other most hated character right now is the Governor on Walking Dead. I know, it's a show not a book, but he is absolutely a character I despise!! Hope he gets to be Zombie bait VERY SOON!!
