Gerriane I loved Julie Berry's Book but a part of me wished that Lucinda would have ended up with Peter since they had a lot more adventures together. I especially loved Peter's reactions around Lucinda. What about you? Who do you think was the better couple?

Makaila Ya I supose Peter would have been an OK match but it was kindove a stupid ending

Megan Gregor all the way. Give me a prince with a heart of gold, even if he is a bit naive and wish-washy, than a guy who repeatedly lies, steals, and generally screws people over and then doesn't get why they don't want to be friendly.

Megan, you actually have a point :) I guess I was just too carried away with all the escapades Peter and Lucinda had. At least Lucinda gets her prince in the end, in retrospect I'm really wondering how Peter's going to run the kingdom.

Judy Yang I wish she would have married Peter instead of his younger brother; Gregor. She should have wrote another book to this.

Aisha eww peter is a looser and a slime-bag!
I much preferred Gregor, although he was engaged :(

Meredith Klein i actually thought peter was younger throught the book

Yes, I agree. I read Peter as a bratty street-rat kid throughout the story and then was rather startled when he was presented as the same age as Gregor at the end.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall Definitely Peter,Gregor is one of those knight-in-shining-armor characters that occasionally becomes bland.

Magdala Peter, there was more things in common, and that she was ready to be princess or queen to and rule a town, which is competely new 2 her on that whole field thing.

Faith The ending was quite random to me. I mean, Gregor the prince in shining armor and his my little pony to the rescue is typical prince, and every girl in books with princes fall in love with them.
But of course there's Peter. A cunning, dashing thief... Insulting but so mysterious you want to know more about his strange character.
I find it hard to believe that Peter just ends up turning out to be a prince in the end and that Gregor's wife-to-be desperately falls in love with Peter instead. A society where your rank tells you who you can love, hate those.
I'm not going to take sides. I think the story would be better if Lucinda just lived a nice life with Dog in a new house, and drank hot cocoa by fires every winter. End of story for me. :)
