This is how my list looks like this far, although I will add more books and probably also change it a lot of times...
I put my goal to 20 books instead of 52. Maybe I'll change the goal later on, but I'll start with 20.

Progress: 10 of 20

Denmark - Smilla's Sense of Snow
France - The Hunchback of Notre-Dame
India - The Marriage Bureau for Rich People
Iran - The Blood of Flowers
Norway - Trollbunden
Pakistan - A Case of Exploding Mangoes
Portugal - The Return of the Caravels
Russia - The Bronze Horseman
Rwanda - We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will Be Killed With Our Families
Saudi Arabia - Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia
South Africa - The Steps of the Sun
Spain - The Shadow of the Wind
Sweden - Völvans dotter
UK - Whitney, My Love
USA - The Help

Well, it's a great challenge idea and I really should read a little more non American/English lit.

I've already read The Angel's Game (for some strange reason I started with that one, no idea why) and I really liked it so I'm looking forward to reading The Shadow of the Wind now. I hope it's just as good as the other one.

Funny, I've done the same thing, and I've heard The Shadow of the Wind is even better!

Actually, it's interesting that you started with The Angel's Game. The Shadow of the Wind just continues the Sempere story further and The Cemetery of Forgotten Books features more prominently.

Gussie (a_reader_1) | 68 comments Nice way to start. I'm reading A Case of Exploding Mangoes too.

Yes, I know, that's why I've no idea of why I did so. Guess I just picked a book at the library, without checking it out first. That's the sort of things that happens then... ;)

I saw A Case of Exploding Mangoes in the library and it seemed to be pretty good, so I planned to read it even before I started this challenge. The challenge was more like a trigger to make me actually do it :)
