Greetings to all RRRC members!

2012 is almost here and it's is time to gear up for another year of reading.

2011 was a crazy year for me, so I have been, more or less, an absentee moderator. But with the cooperation of everyone, the group continued to prosper and grow. Challenges continued to be launched and completed.

My gratitude to Rossy, my co-moderator, and all the lovely members who have volunteered to be challenge hosts for the different challenges throughout the year.

The year 2011 had opened my eyes to the joys of sharing responsibilities and tapping the creative ideas of the members of this wonderful group. With this in mind, I'm unveiling 2012 challenge line-up, with an open invitation for volunteer challenge hosts.

Furthermore, I'm looking for more challenges spearheaded by members. So, don't be shy. Make 2012 the year you create your own reading challenge.

Volunteer Challenge Host Duties

Now that I've been roped into hosting a challenge, what am I supposed to do?

1. Post/Launch the Challenge thread.
2. Create an event and send invites to group members. (Optional)
3. Monitor the thread by visiting it as often as one can.
4. Give encouraging and congratulatory comments to challenge participants.
5. Keep track of participants that completed the challenge.
6. Officially end the challenge by posting the list of members who have completed the challenge. Stats about the challenge are also welcome, but are not required.

Are you volunteering- I hope! I will check and see, get right back to you.

Only if one of these two months are available. I am not sure how much time I will have once the kids are home, and I go back to work in September! Yuck!

I made a separate thread for the 2013 Challenge Index. We haven't gone over what yearlies we are going to continue for next year yet, but I'm sure it will be the usual ones. I'll let you know as soon as we discuss what the list will be. Any favorites you want to see repeated?

Let me know in the other thread if you would rather have a PIFM or Monthly and then if I need more help I will add you onto some more :)

I can continue with updating the monthly challenges if you would like. I know I fell apart in August, but think I am back into it now. Will be even better when I get a new computer as I am working with a cracked screen, but...
