I think availbilty will depend on the collection and the edition. For instance, various translations of Grimm and Anderson are widely availble on the internet as are Lang's books. I see more of a problem if we use something that is not in public arena, like Yolen's excellent collection. So Cheryl, I share your concerns. But there is also length. Perrault's short, but Grimms might take some people awhile.

I would love to read Jane Yolen and other collections like this, but availability is a huge problem here (for us who are from the outside of USA). Many books are available on the internet when you search hard enough but I don't expect I will be lucky with these :(.
So it seems we can split classic reads into two groups. Easy to Access, and Difficult.
So the real classics will be easy to access. These would include Grimm, Andersen, Jacobs, Moe, Perrault.
The modern collections will be more difficult. I wonder if that includes the work of Jack Zipes and the Norton Criticial editions? Does anyone know?

We can also compare different versions of one story in classics discussion.
I like the idea of taking more than one month - and the idea of overlapping. I also like the idea of comparing different versions of one story. Maybe we could do both?
There are general collections - such as Jane Yolen or Surlalune's and then there are the classics such as Grimm. Do we open this reading to all types or just the classics? A new collection every one-three months depending on length?
