Another quick question: When you add a cover to a book, do you just copy and paste the info from the address bar into the area provided in the edit book window? I was reading one of the threads and they were talking about the amazon pics, when you click on a pic and it opens a window of just that pic, are you supposed to just use that info from the address bar for the cover or do you have to save the pic on your computer to upload it to goodreads? I don't have a room to save a bunch of pics so I can upload them to goodreads. Kinda Confused, Please Help. If there is a thread that tells how to actually do this just point methe way, I couldn't find it. Sorry and thanks for everyone's patience.

You need to save the picture to your computer, then use the upload link on the book edit page to upload the image.

You can then delete it from your PC

oooohhh. I always thought if you deleted from your comp it wouldn't show up anymore because the reference to your file wouldn't be there. Thanks bunches.

Upload usually means copy, not reference. So most of the time, after you upload something, you can delete if without any repercussions.

By the way, how did you think the picture was handled if you were off-line? Just curious.

I guess I never really though about it. I just figured when you copy a address/link then get rid of where it came from it wouldn't be there anymore. Kind of like saying, 'it's in the frig' then someone looking and a window saying 'it's not there anymore'. I'm not really a comp guru. Tell me how to do it, I'll do it. I don't really understand 'how' it gets done. No one to explain it to me. ha ha. I know more about cars than computers. mechanically inclined, yes, technically inclined...not really. I'll get it eventually.
