With 2012 beginning, several of us have resolutions, wishes and goals. For January's Challenge, we're going to mix all of those together.
January's Goals and Rules
1. Read six (6) books between January 1-31, 2012
2. No Re-Reads! Since this is a start to a new year, dive into something new-to-you. Audiobooks and anthologies are just fine though.
3. Two (2) books must be books that have been on your TBR list for more than five (5) months. Some of us try to make resolutions to clean up or organize our life and this is just one small way to help us stick to cleaning up our TBR Lists. (If you've been on Goodreads for less than that amount of time, just read books that have been on your TBR lists the longest.)
4. One (1) book must be Readers Choice. No category, limitation or other criteria needs to be met. Just something you wish to read.
Categories for remaining books:
You can choose 3 separate categories or use one category more than once.
1. New Year's (Jan. 1st): Read a book with "New" in the title, or that is a new series or author to you.
2. Cuddle Up Day (Jan. 6th): Choose a book with a cuddling couple on the cover, a fire or fireplace on the cover, OR read a book of your choosing cuddled up at your favorite chair/couch/bed.
3. Friday the 13th: Read a horror story or a book involving murder(s).
4. National Blood Donor Month: Read a book about vampires or medical professionals (or both).
5. 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade (Jan. 2nd): Read a book involving (American) football or a book with roses on the cover or in the title.
6. What's the Weather Like?: Depending on where you live, January can be a 'cold' or 'hot' month. So, to get your mind off what it's doing outside, read a book that has the opposite weather you're currently living with.
