I agree! I am working on my list now off the master list and there are so many great books in there!

Zahir is Brazil. Spanish authors are all from South America only, I think...

South American authors will come under their own countries. Spain will include Spaniards only, I think and not those who write in that language.

By the way, The Palace of Dreams would be under Albania. Ismail Kadare is Albanian.

Oh really? I saw it under Algeria in the master list. I don't have the book yet so will fix it or edit depending on that.

When you're finished, let me know or comment here, and I'll add your selections to the master list.

You could simply put 'The Zahir' under Brazil and find something else for Spain. Have you read The Shadow of the Wind?

Brazil - you can also put Eleven Minutes.
Zahir can still be Spain, I think.
You can also put Vargosa for Peru.
