Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments I need recommendations for a PNR series to read, please. No UF--I absolutely need one couple with an HEA per book. I prefer contemporary settings with shifters, vamps, fae, angels, witches, magic-users, etc. Thank you so much for your help!

Here are the series that I've read or tried to read:

Black Dagger Brotherhood--J R Ward
The Moon--Rebecca York
Darkness Chosen--Christina Dodd
Mark of the Vampire--Laura Wright
Dark Forgotten--Sharon Ashwood
Paladins of Darkness--Alexis Morgan
Sweetblood--Laurie London
Wizards of Nevermore--Michele Bardsley
Breeds--Lora Leigh
Changeling--Dani Harper
Eternal Guardians--Elisabeth McNaughton
Soulfire--Stephanie Rowe
Nightwatch, Midnight, Fallen--Cynthia Eden

Renegade Angels--Sylvia Day

Again, no UF please. That includes Night Huntress and Fever. Excellent series, but not what I'm looking for.

Thanks for your help!

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Shadow Game (GhostWalkers, #1) by Christine Feehan

You tried her Carpathians- but what about this series?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments It's not "magical" more paranormal... genetically altered people that already possessed psychic talent

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments HEA in each book, different couple each book

Thanks for the heads up, Alana. I think that Highlander is the only PNR in the bunch. But thanks for taking the time to make the suggestions, Terri!

Nita (gillnit) A series I do not see on your list is the Dirk & Steele series by Marjorie M. Liu. It starts with Tiger Eye (Dirk & Steele, #1) by Marjorie M. Liu and has psychics and shifters in it.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments Have you tried any Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle? Her Arcane Society books (contemporary-Krentz, historical-Quick) deal with people having a variety of psychic powers, each book has a different couple, and an HEA. As Jayne Castle, she has a series of futuristic books set on a world called Harmony that deals with various psychic abilities in the population, a long vanished alien race and their artifacts, and dust bunnies that are characters in their own right.
White Lies (Arcane Society, #2) by Jayne Ann Krentz Second Sight (Arcane Society, # 1) by Amanda Quick , After Dark (Harmony, #1) by Jayne Castle

No...none of them break up...but Raphael & Cyn never get it together in book one...but do so in book two. And in that book is one of the most satisfying and beautiful declarations of love I have ever read. Book one and Two are two different stories but the HEA comes in book two. They stay together and show up in the other books a bit.....I have to say it is one of my favorite series and everyone I have recommended it to loved it.

I got the impression that Raphael and Cyn broke up from the blurb about Jabril in which it says "Cyn sees the Houston job as a welcome refuge, a place to get away and heal her broken heart." I get it now. Thanks! I'll add it to my To Read list.

Nairabell | 193 comments What about these: A Taste of Magic (Magic, # 1) by Tracy Madison A Stroke of Magic (Magic, #2) by Tracy Madison A Breath of Magic (Magic, #3) by Tracy Madison ?

Definitely PNR (and quite light PNR) with different couples and a HEA in each. The women of the stories inherit gypsy magic which they each use in different ways (one through food, one through art etc). Cute reads and not widely known.

Or The Accidental Werewolf (Accidental Friends, #1) by Dakota Cassidy Accidentally Dead (Accidental Friends, #2) by Dakota Cassidy The Accidental Human (Accidental Friends, #3) by Dakota Cassidy Accidentally Demonic (Accidental Friends, #4) by Dakota Cassidy Accidentally Catty (Accidental Friends, #5) by Dakota Cassidy ?

Again PNR with HEAs (though the couples from previous books reappear - like in the Argeneaus). Funny as hell!

Michele Bardsley also writes another series called Broken Heart which meets your requirements:
I'm the Vampire, That's Why (Broken Heart Vampires, #1) by Michele Bardsley Don't Talk Back To Your Vampire (Broken Heart Vampires, #2) by Michele Bardsley Because Your Vampire Said So (Broken Heart Vampires, #3) by Michele Bardsley Wait Till Your Vampire Gets Home (Broken Heart Vampires, #4) by Michele Bardsley Over My Dead Body (Broken Heart Vampires, #5) by Michele Bardsley Come Hell or High Water (Broken Heart Vampires, #6) by Michele Bardsley Cross Your Heart (Broken Heart Vampires, #7) by Michele Bardsley

There are also the Accidental and Triplet Witch trilogies by Annette Blair:
The Kitchen Witch (Accidental Witch Trilogy, #1) by Annette Blair My Favorite Witch (Accidental Witch Trilogy, #2) by Annette Blair The Scot, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Accidental Witch Trilogy, #3) by Annette Blair and (more PNR than the first) Sex and the Psychic Witch (Triplet Witch Trilogy, #1) by Annette Blair Gone with the Witch (Triplet Witch Trilogy, #2) by Annette Blair Never Been Witched (Triplet Witch Trilogy, #3) by Annette Blair

Or how about selkies? Sea Witch (Children of the Sea, #1) by Virginia Kantra Sea Fever (Children of the Sea, #2) by Virginia Kantra Sea Lord (Children of the Sea, #3) by Virginia Kantra Immortal Sea (Children of the Sea, #4) by Virginia Kantra Forgotten Sea (Children of the Sea, #5) by Virginia Kantra

All have different couples per book with HEAs and are paranormal romance.

Sometimes a man (lol or vampire) is reluctant to give in to his feelings....and walks away when he is feeling something for a woman....only to regret it.....Don't worry....in Jabril they are thrown together again....or shall we say she needs his help and he, hers.

Raphael is a very fierce and powerful vampire....I consider this series The Godfather without the crime....And the author quite often puts vignettes on her website that you can read.

There are 8 books planned for this series. The premise is that Raphael is planning to take over the Americas and each book is a stand alone of a vampire lord who makes an alliance with Raphael. Cyn & Raphael put in a showing up in each book, some more than others. Duncan is the Vampire Lord of Washington DC area but he used to be his Lieutenant.

Cyn is a very strong woman who is not annoying-imagine that? ....they are well matched. This is a well written series and like I said, no one has said they didn't like it when recommended to them. I am glad you will give it a try-it is my favorite!

Here is a scene from book one:
Oh, all I can say is: The warehouse scene....WOW. If you read it you know what comes after this. Cyn is being held captive by some Russian Mafia Thug....Raphael and his crew just beat down the group of dudes holding her and he comes for her.... I love the way the author describes Raphael...like some rabid animal...:

"Raphael came through the door like a child's nightmare, his eyes glowing an almost solid silver with wrath, his gleaming fangs fully extended, blood painting his mouth a brilliant red, dripping from his chin to shine wetly against the tattered remains of his black shirt. His huge chest was heaving with the fury of his breath, and his hands curled into claws as his gaze found her and he growled a warning. 'Release her, human.'
'Who are you? the man rasped, fear taking away his breath, coarsening his voice.
'Release her.'
The man tightened his grip, 'Come closer and she dies.'
Rachael's mouth widened in a terrifying smile, 'You think to bargain with me?'"

And this is only the beginning of an amazing scene.

Some of these lighter books were already on my TR shelf for when I'm in the mood for something on the funny side. I'd added the rest.

Jenny | 114 comments The PNR series with HEA that I haven't seen listed is Katie MacAlister series

It starts with the Aisling Gray (The Guardians)
You Slay Me (Aisling Grey Guardian, #1) by Katie MacAlister Fire Me Up (Aisling Grey Guardian, #2) by Katie MacAlister Light My Fire (Aisling Grey Guardian, #3) by Katie MacAlister Holy Smokes (Aisling Grey Guardian, #4) by Katie MacAlister
The Silver Dragons
Playing With Fire (Silver Dragons, #1) by Katie MacAlister Up In Smoke (Silver Dragons, #2) by Katie MacAlister Me and My Shadow (Silver Dragons, #3) by Katie MacAlister
The Light Dragons
Love in the Time of Dragons (Light Dragons, #1) by Katie MacAlister The Unbearable Lightness of Dragons (Light Dragons, #2) by Katie MacAlister Sparks Fly (Light Dragons, #3) by Katie MacAlister (this one to be released this year)
They are three separate series but are completely interconnected. Having read the others certainly help. The main couple are featured through the entire series, then it moves on to another couple for next set of books. MacAlister is light heart and so funny that when I was reading there were times that I was laughing out loud. If you read them you'll met Jim and he is a character that you definitely won't forget.
You could also give her Dark Ones Series a shot, they aren't bad.
A Girl's Guide to Vampires (Dark Ones, #1) by Katie MacAlister Sex and the Single Vampire (Dark Ones, #2) by Katie MacAlister Sex, Lies and Vampires (Dark Ones, #3) by Katie MacAlister Even Vampires Get the Blues (Dark Ones, #4) by Katie MacAlister The Last of the Red-Hot Vampires (Dark Ones, #5) by Katie MacAlister Zen and the Art of Vampires (Dark Ones, #6) by Katie MacAlister Crouching Vampire, Hidden Fang (Dark Ones, #7) by Katie MacAlister In the Company of Vampires (Dark Ones #8, Ben and Fran #3) by Katie MacAlister Much Ado About Vampires (Dark Ones, #9) by Katie MacAlister
Some were out of print but it seems that they are releasing them with new covers of course but I have enjoyed them.
Have fun reading.
