Constance (Lieber) | 54 comments Your list is really interesting. And your criteria are similar to my own -- especially the Kindle part. I am growing more and more diehard myself. I like the idea to read works set in the country and written by a native of that country. I just may end up substituting some of your for mine. Thanks for your list.

Janice (jamasc) Welcome Andrea! We have quite a few books in common. I'll be interested in your reviews on those books. :)

I recently won The Real Elizabeth in First Reads but it hasn't arrived yet. We'll have to compare notes since you are reading a different biography.

I prefer non-fiction to fiction myself. Perhaps I'll switch some of yours onto my list.

Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 1309 comments I'm following your blog too. Also, your selections have been added to the master list, all except The Tiger's Wife. Yugoslavia isn't a country anymore, but the book doesn't ever name the country. I and Publishers Weekly put it in Croatia, some people say Serbia (and indeed the author is from Belgrade). The novel itself goes back and forth between two unnamed countries (so far).

So just let me know which country you want it listed under and I'll be happy to oblige!
