Paula Baker (paulabaker) | 21 comments Hey everyone! I'm hoping to get a Kindle Fire soon and in the meantime, I'm looking around to find free e-book sites. Does anyone here know of some good ones?

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) Hi Paula...I have been getting all my free e-books for my Kindle Fire at ereaderiq.com or from amazon. At amazon in the search bar I select kindle store then type in free books and it pulls up a list of about 45,000 books lol.

Some others ones are:

pixelofink.com
http://blog.booksontheknob.org/
www.new-daily-free-ebooks.com
kindlenationdaily.com
bargainebookhunter.com
kindleonthecheap.wordpress.com
dailycheapreads.com
fkbt.wordpress.com
ereaderlove.com
ireaderreview.com

My favorite site is ereaderiq.com. I visit it daily as they update on a daily basis :) Enjoy your new kindle fire. Lots of fun!!!

I can't think of particular sites myself, but I'm definitely going to check the ones Robin suggested! I have a Nook, so the format is different from Kindle, however, I use a free program called Calibre that converts e-books into the correct format for your reader so you can read a greater variety. I was able to get the entire Agatha Christie collection for free, then convert it to Nook!

Paula Baker (paulabaker) | 21 comments Woohoo! Thanks, Robin! I don't have the Kindle yet, but hoping to soon! ;) I'll be sure to check out these sites.

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) YW....it was my pleasure to help out : ) . If I think of any more or find links to others I will sure let you all know. I have looked at a lot of these sites and so far my favorite one is ereaderiq.com. Most of them pretty much have the same things you will just have to pick which layout/site you like the best.

Karen, this one http://blog.booksontheknob.org/
posts for kindle and nook : )

Leann | 53 comments My new fav place to get free ebooks on my kindle is the library! No joke! Go online to your local area library, chances are theyve already started lending kindle titles. It is lent to u through amazon and thus goes over whispernet just like they do.

Yes, I use the library too : ) I thought about listing it with my other websites but forgot lol. Although I have heard through the forums that not all libraries offer the kindle books, but if you have Calibre that helps.

Which reminds me: I tried to download Calibre but my anti-virus came up telling me that it was a malicious file because it didn't have a valid certificate. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I haven't had any problems with Calibre, although I've noticed that it appears to be developed by someone overseas, which may be why a valid certificate isn't showing with your anti-virus software (not having a certificate does not mean it is a malicious file). All I can say is that everyone I know who has it, has had no difficulties, so it is probably safe to go ahead.

TY Karen...I appreciate your help. I know a lot of people use it and I haven't heard any one say anything bad/negative but I thought I would ask just to be on the safe side : ) It never hurts to double check things out.
