Advanced Copies for Review & Book Giveaways discussion

I don't believe I've formally mentioned my good friend and the new moderator Mona! We've gotten to know each other from right about the time I got this group going ... thank you for taking me up on the moderator position also :)

I've added a folder for authors interested in getting in touch with reviewers. I hope it will make a nice addition :)

I've added a few new shelves to the group bookshelf: ebooks, giveaways for review, and requests for reviews
I was kinda thinking 'blog giveaways' was meant more for books you won but it was up to you if you'd like to review and 'giveaways for review' is maybe more of the author liking a review in the exchange :) Let me know if you'd like anything changed around in the bookshelf, or if you would like to, otherwise it's ok how it is too :)

I think the author folder is a good idea. Authors are always looking for exposure/publicity.

What is the distinction btwn "giveaways for review" and "requests for reviews?"

'requests for reviews' are where the author gets in touch with someone here or somewhere else that requests to review their book and hopefully everyone that asks is able to ;) where a 'giveaway for review' is where it's won through a giveaway where the author is hoping for a review from the selected winning entries. Very good question.

'giveaways for review' would be more for books seperate from goodreads 'first-reads' although it would be fine to use for both shelves if they would both apply :)

So LT Early Reviewer wins where the author is asking for a review in exchange would go into the "giveaway for review" shelf.

Yeah.. and usually LT Member Giveaway too if 'giveaway for review' would apply :)
