Fiona (bookishbrownbooks) I am doing an A-Z book title (and author) but I am not sure what to do for books beginning with 'The' would it come under 'T' or would it be the first letter of the other word? Need clarification please. Fi.

Esther (eshchory) | 270 comments 'The' doesn't count, go with the second word.

I agree with Esther re "the", but you may also find it easier to apply the same thing to "a" and "an", so A Dixie Xmas would become your D. Your choice what to do though. Enjoy your challenge.

Fiona (bookishbrownbooks) Oooh yes, never thought of it with the A - silly me! Thanks. What would you say to the Agatha Raisin series which always start with 'Agatha Raisin and the...'

"Agatha Raisin and the x" should only count once for A (book title)I'm afraid.
