This year I will once again be participating in the A-Z blogging challenge. It is a pretty simple idea where in the month of April you blog every day except Sundays and each day goes through a letter of the alphabet.

Last year it was a pretty huge month in terms of traffic and the blogfest as a whole had over 1000 participants. This year I would like to have as many guest spots as I can to fill in the letters. If anyone has any interest in doing a guest post featuring a specific letter topic let me know. I will be prescheduling everything as much as I possibly can so the sooner the better.

Just as an example April 14 would be the letter "L" if Big J wanted to do a post about the world his fantasy takes place in (Lentari) that would work perfectly. Just let me know if there are any takers.

Sign me up for "L"!! People can ask for certain letters and then you could tell them which day it would fall on.

Big J

Still looking for guests. Last year this was a very high traffic month for my blog so it's a chance to get seen by a lot of people. There are already 300 participants and sign ups have only been open for a few days.

Here is the link of available letters if anyone is interested. http://indiebookblogger.blogspot.com/...

Mia Darien (mia_darien) | 425 comments I'm very new here and still learning my way around, but I've been looking for places to guest post. Is there a specific place/way you want people to sign up/announce interest?

Got the spot reserved for you Robert. Thanks for participating, although I'm a bit disappointed to miss out on the info about book 3 myself lol.

message 8: by L.E. (new)

L.E. Fitzpatrick (l_e_fitzpatrick) | 35 comments I'd happily take P and do something about Pirates. My indie book is about pirates, but I would quite like to link it to indie piracy as well.

I did a blog (below) a few months ago so I could deliver something similiar with illustrations if that would suffice

message 9: by Steve (new)

Steve Thomas | 198 comments Weaksauce, K is taken. I'd like to participate, but I'll have to think of a letter.

message 10: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
LE got you reserved on the tab for pirates.

To all who are participating if I can have the posts emailed to me by the end of the month it would be fantastic. Thanks.

End of the month. Not a problem!

message 12: by L.E. (new)

L.E. Fitzpatrick (l_e_fitzpatrick) | 35 comments Dim problem, no worries

message 13: by Steve (new)

Steve Thomas | 198 comments Can I take M? M is for Magic Systems.

message 14: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Ok Steve I have your letter reserved. Thanks for joining in it's shaping up to be a great month.

message 15: by Jeffrey, Lentarian Fire Thrower (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
If you don't fill up all the letters, let me know. I'll twist something around and take another letter!

message 16: by Steve (new)

Steve Thomas | 198 comments Scott, do you have a target word count for these posts? I think I've got a solid draft, and it's coming in around 1500 words.

message 17: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Word count does not matter a bit to me. Since there are so many participants I think that if they get too long they will most likely get skimmed through, but I don't think 1500 is excessive. Images/videos are also very nice to give it a little more visual appeal.

message 18: by Sky (new)

Sky Corbelli | 114 comments I could probably do W for World Building or E for Elements, whichever is fine, I'm planning to write both on blog regardless.

message 19: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
How about E Sky. I have a bit more time leeway on the stuff at the end of the month so I'm really hoping to get the earlier letters filled in soon.

message 20: by Sky (new)

Sky Corbelli | 114 comments Sure, E is fine.

message 21: by Jeffrey, Lentarian Fire Thrower (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
Scott - I'm working on "L" now... If you'd like, I can take "B", too. I can chat a bit about "Bakkian Chronicles".

Big J

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
Fired off my "L" post, Scott!

message 23: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Got the post loaded into the blog and scheduled for release Jeff. Thanks very much!

message 24: by Jeffrey, Lentarian Fire Thrower (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
Nice! Wasn't too sure how to write about Lentari, and someone mentioned an interview with a fictional character, and I thought, "Bingo".

Might even use that excerpt in book III.

message 25: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte English (charlotteenglish) | 24 comments Ohh just saw this. I'm hoping to have a book titled "Orlind" (Draykon #3) coming out around the middle of April... could I bagsie "O" to talk about that?

message 26: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Even though I have no idea what bagsie means I'll guess it's a form of reserve. I'll make a note that "O" belongs to you.

message 27: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte English (charlotteenglish) | 24 comments Thanks =)

message 28: by Mia (new)

Mia Darien (mia_darien) | 425 comments If you're having trouble filling in remaining letters and wouldn't mind someone doubling up, I'd be happy to take A, too. Totally up to you. Just throwing that out there.

message 29: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (last edited Feb 27, 2012 07:44AM) (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Mia it looks like doubling up will be a necessity to fill in some blanks. I'll give it a few more days before I commit to someone getting two letters, but most likely you will be able to have "A" as well.

Jeff I'm pretty sure "B" is still open as well so Bakkian could be in your future if you were still interested.

message 30: by Jeffrey, Lentarian Fire Thrower (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
Yeah, bring it on! I'll take B if there are no other takers! To be quite honest, I didn't think I'd have Ls post done so soon, so I have no problems writing another one!

Just say the word!

message 31: by Mia (new)

Mia Darien (mia_darien) | 425 comments Ditto, just let me know. If someone new grabs it, all the better, but will be standing by otherwise. :)

message 32: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Ok A got snagged, but I still need a B so if you are still available Jeff I'd appreciate it. Still 8 letters to go if anyone else wants to jump in.

message 33: by Jeffrey, Lentarian Fire Thrower (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
I'll take B!

message 34: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Thanks Jeff. I'll get that reserved for you right now.

message 35: by Robert (new)

Robert (valdieron) | 108 comments Crap I just realised I don't have anything penned for you for my topic... when is my deadline Scott? :)

The sooner the better but I need to have everything by April 1 at the latest.

message 37: by B. (new)

B. Throwsnaill (bthrowsnaill) | 208 comments OK. I'd better get writing, too!

It is getting a bit close to those who have promised posts and haven't seen them in yet. So far I only have 7 posts presheduled with 2 more in my inbox waiting for me to get them formatted for the blog. Please get all posts in ASAP.

Thanks!!

message 39: by Sky (new)

Sky Corbelli | 114 comments Scott, I'll have E to you tonight, just need to finish putting in the links. Also, if you don't have D yet, I've already written a D is for Dungeons & Dragons post for my blog that I believe is fairly fun and would love to share.

message 40: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
Sky I would love to have a post for the letter D as well. I tried to respond twice on my phone last night and neither one worked so hopefully this actually goes through. I got your post about E this morning btw, thanks very much.

message 41: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Kristufek | 32 comments Just saw this! What letters do you have left Scott? I might be able to come up with something quickly.

message 42: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
J, N, Q, and X are still available with Sky grabbing D and I've decided to dedicate Z to my daughter Zoey. If you could speak on any of those letters it would be awesome!

message 43: by Sky (new)

Sky Corbelli | 114 comments Scott, I'll get D over to you today. Just need to find a few pictures and remember a character's name...

message 44: by Jeffrey, Lentarian Fire Thrower (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) | 2287 comments Mod
If J is still left unclaimed at the end of all this, I could always write something about 'jhorun'.

message 45: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Kristufek | 32 comments I might be able to do something with 'N' but I will probably need until Sunday - is that ok?

message 46: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
As long as I can get it about a week in advance I'm totally good. What would the subject be so I can add you to my master list?

Also thanks for joining in!

message 47: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Kristufek | 32 comments I'm going to tentatively say Naming - but I haven't decided for sure yet. Thanks for letting me in on the fun!

message 48: by Mia (new)

Mia Darien (mia_darien) | 425 comments I could take Q. I'd talk about the unexpected role of the character Quintus in my Adelheid stories.

message 49: by Scott, Fabled Reviewer o' Tales! (new)

Scott (bookblogger) | 1316 comments Mod
D, J, N, and Q are now all reserved on my master list for you Sky, Jeff, Tricia, and Mia. Thanks again for the posts especially the multiples. I really was procrastinating trying to figure out things for myself lol.

message 50: by Robert (new)

Robert (valdieron) | 108 comments Just emailed mine mate. Let me know if you don't get it, or if you need more.
