Poetry Readers Challenge discussion

I'm not going to anticipate what I'll be reading. This year, however, my goal will be to read some of what's on my shelves already rather than gathering more. The first of the year is:

1. What Came Before by Irene Latham

I am also trying to read what is on my shelves. It is hard because I love getting things from the library. The gap between what I read and what I haven't on my bookshelves is way too big!

2. Head Off and Split by Nikky Finney

I sure am lagging behind this year. I've been reading T.S. Eliot but also reading criticism along with the poems, which slows things to a crawl. Could be I'll end up doing a rush of poetry reading at the end of this year. I can certainly think of worse ways to close out a year.
