What's a TBR Pick-It-For-Me Challenge?

Like the name implies, those who participate in this monthly challenge will have a book selected for them by another participant. Participants will be randomly paired up into picker/pickee pairs. The picker will choose a book for the pickee from their to read list (TBR).

Once you have picked the book come back to this thread and post what you have picked for your partner. Also send a message to the person with the name of the book you have selected for them. Then when you're done with your book, come back to this thread and post your opinion so we know you have completed the challenge.

For this challenge, you need to either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable) or make the person you're paired with your friend. I strongly advise keeping your bookshelves updated, otherwise you might end up with a recommendation for something that you've already read.

Sign up period will remain open until January 31st (9pm Central) and you'll have until February 5th to select a book for your partner.

***Please note***Everything will be done in this thread so check it often. Also, please be sure you really, really want to participate. Once I pair up people, it makes it difficult to re-pair when someone decides not to participate.

Ok remember you have till Feb 5th to pick your book for the select name.

Please message the person with the book you have selected and if possible post it in here and I will update the post to make sure everyone has a book picked off their TBR List.

So basically look in the post here and find the name of the person you have to pick a book for. If you click on that person picture it should bring you to their profile and then you can see their to read list..from there select a book and send a message to her or him. Thats it..good luck.

When you have read your book lets us know and we will strike out your name.

Can I create a TBR list on my GR that are books I actually own? I'm trying to avoid buying more books before I read the others I already have! lol.

Yes, just make a "owned" shelf for your books and have whoever is picking for you get the book from there. I think I'll do that, too, becauase I already own so many I need to read!
