Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Hello,

I was just wondering if the Prime Membership for Amazon is worth having? Does anyone have it? Pros? Cons?

Thanks

Elke

Hi Elke ... I have it. I love it for buying movies and stuff that is sent by UPS. It says there are free kindle books but I don't know how to use that. I use it mainly for free shipping and fast delivery.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments weird, i posted a comment and it didn't save...

if you are just getting it for the kindle (lending library), then I don't think its worth it, but if you get a lot of stuff sent to you, it is (at least to me) because its free 2-day shipping

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Yea it would be for just Kindle books. I have looked at their list of free monthly books and none catch my attention. As for getting stuff sent to me the free 2-day is great...but I don't mind waiting the 5-7 days (thats free). Maybe it is not worth it for me.

Thanks for the input ladies!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments you only get a book a month; I haven't really checked the streaming out to know how that is...you can always try it for the month and then cancel it if you decide it isn't worth it

D.G. | 4477 comments Do you have a Kindle Fire, Elke? Because if you do, then you could stream movies with the Prime Membership.

But I agree that if it's only for the books, then it might not be worth it.

@D.G.,
Yes I got it for Christmas, I saw that but most movies I have seen already. Hmmm....I don't think I will use it.

@Dee,

Yes only one a month...I "borrowed" a book this month to see how it worked, and I was done with it in a couple of days. Now if they allowed more than one a month then I would definitely get it!

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 957 comments I have a Kindle Touch and I'm a Prime member. It's worth to get Prime if you have multiple people in the same house or you get stuck paying 80 dollars a year. There's 3 other people in my house that are also Prime members and we only pay 20 dollars a year. In order to borrow kindle books for free if you are a Prime member, I think you need to go on the actual Kindle to do it. I haven't tried it yet in case it doesn't work since I can't afford to buy any Kindle books at the moment.

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Hey guys,

I have another question...on the Kindle Fire, can we download our own movies on it?

For example I have a whole season of a show on my PC and would like to have it on the Kindle.

Thanks!
